Chapter 9

You were enjoying breakfast at Mitsuri's house as she was drinking tea while looking at you happily eating.

'So cute!' she thought as there was pink in her cheeks.

You finished as you thanked her for the meal she made for you. You were thinking of what to do when there was a knock at the door.

You opened it to reveal Kyojuro.

"Rengoku-san!" You exclaimed happily as he smiled his signature smile.

"(Y/N)! My boy! I'm glad you're doing okay!" he said as he patted your shoulder.

Mitsuri came to the door as she greeted him.

"Hello!" she said as she then subconsciously grabbed your hand, but you didn't mind.

"Ah, Kanroji, great seeing you!" he said rather loudly as you smiled weirdly at him.

"Do you need anything?" she asked curiously.

"Ah! I almost forgot! (Y/N), do you want to train with me?" he asked as your eyes lit up.

"Yes, of course!" you exclaimed happily.

Mitsuri looked a bit sad, you noticed this.

"Sorry Mitsuri, I'll treat you to some ramen when I get back alright?" you smiled at her as she blushed.

"A-Alright." she then smiled and waved you two off.

You were talking with Kyojuro as you two neared his house.

'Father shouldn't be home now...' Kyojuro thought as you two saw a kid in front of their house.

Kyojuro smiled as you couldn't believe your eyes.

"Wait. Kyojuro? You're here but, how are you there? What is going on?!" you yelled as the kid turned towards you two.

"Brother!" he yelled as he ran and hugged Kyojuro.

You stood there dumbfounded as the two of them exchanged a few words before the kid turned to you.

"Brother, who is this?"

"This is (Y/N)! He's the newest among us pillars! He's also a close friend!" you sweatdropped when he said "close friend" but you smiled at him.

"So what's your name?" you asked as the kid was a bit shy.

"I-I'm Senjuro! Kyojuro's little brother!" he tried to mimick Kyojuro's happy personality, and honestly he was getting there.

"Nice to meet you little guy!" you said as you ruffled his hair as he laughed.

"Senjuro, father isn't home right?" Kyojuro asked as you three entered the house.

"Umm, actually-" he couldn't finish as you heard a loud voice.

"Senjuro!!" someone yelled as the mentioned kid seemed to shiver at the sound. Kyojuro was also a bit tense.

From around the corner came out what looked to be an older version of Kyojuro, he was holding what appears to be a bottle of alcohol in his hand.

You could feel his aura, he had a strong aura but it had mixed emotions, most of it being anger but you felt just a tiny bit of sorrow and sadness. You immediately knew what was going on with him.

"(Y/N), you should leave." Kyojuro whispered to you.

"No way, I came all the way here for something." you said as you stood in front of both of them.

"Who the hell are you? What are you doing in my house?!" he yelled as you then bowed which surprised him but he still had his angry face.

"I'm sorry for not introducing myself, I'm (Y/N) (L/N), the Light Pillar." you said as his eyes widened a bit, it was clearly visible this time.
