Chapter 5

You quickly got fond of all the pillars. Well except Sanemi, because he's.... Sanemi.

Giyu exchanged a few words with you before he left, while the snake guy just disappeared.

The other pillars were very friendly though, so you had fun.

"I'm off then, I've got a mission soon!" said Kyojuro with his signature smile.

"Sure, see ya later Rengoku!" you waved as his figure disappeared in the distance.

You were left with Mitsuri, Shinobu and Uzui.

"I need to take care of something home. So I'm off." said Tengen flamboyantly.

"Shinobu-Chan, do you want to have lunch with us??" asked Mitsuri with a smile.

"Alrigh- Wait, us?" she asked confused.

"You don't mea-" you were cut off.

"Yes! (Y/N) is coming!"she smiled widely.

"But I neve-" you were cut off again as you were pulled by your arm towards Mitsuri's house.

'What did I get myself into?'

*timeskip*

"This is a great time to get to know eachother! Come on! Tell us something about yourself (Y/N)!" the love pillar beamed enthusiastically.

"I don't know where to start." you said smiling nervously.

"Well..... You could tell us something about your family?" asked Mitsuri.

You looked down. Your hair covering your eyes. You didn't want them to find out that not one but both of your families were killed by demons, but you felt bad if you didn't tell them.

"Hey (Y/N)? What's wrong?"

You were pulled out of your mind by Shinobu holding your shoulder.

"Ah! It's nothing, nothing really. I just thought about something." you said nervously.

"Hey, if you don't want to tell us it's fine. Not everyone has a happy story." said Mitsuri concerned.

"No, no it's fine." you said as you cleared your throat.

"I had a father and a sister. I got very dim memories of my mother but my dad always told me she left for our sake. At first my dad didn't have trouble taking care of us but as my sister and I grew, and more demons began to appear, it was hard for him to keep track of us and his job as a pillar."

Shinobu and Mitsuri looked at you, not missing a word you said.

"One day dad didn't come back from work at the time he always does. I just guessed he had more things to do so I didn't think much of it. But then they appeared." you said with venom laced voice.

*flashback time*

"(Y/N)! Quick, let's hide here!" your sister told you as you entered the cabinet under the sink.

You didn't know what was going on but you didn't question it.

When she closed the cabinet door, you heard loud bangs and scratching noises coming from the front door.

"W-What is--" she covered you mouth as you looked at her.

She had a finger in front of her mouth telling you to be quiet.

You nodded your head slowly as she let go of you.

A loud bang was heard as you covered your ears from the sounds.
