Chapter 1

You've been happy and cheerful ever since the Kamado family took you in 6 years ago. But after the death of Tanjuro, you began working hard to help your family take it easy. Even though Tanjiro worked hard too, you worked harder, you even wanted to become a demon slayer but you didn't tell anyone that. Due to your abnormal strength and fast recovery skills, you were able to help people around town a lot.

Tanjiro and you were walking through the small village looking for anyone who might want to buy coal from you. Luckily people here are very kind and like you two so you sold almost the whole basket.

As you were walking home, you were talking with Tanjiro
"So, Tanjiro, you like that girl Shizune~?" you asked as you wiggled your eyebrows at him.

He became beet red as he stuttered "N-No way! She's a really good friend! Stop teasing (Y/N)!"

"Fine, fine, whatever you say~." you said jokingly.

He looked the other way while blushing still.

Suddenly, a man called out to you two.

"Hey! Tanjiro! (Y/N)!"

You both turned around to see who it was.

"Oh it's you Saburo-san, what's wrong?" asked Tanjiro.

"It's getting dark outside, stay here for the night and return home tommorow morning, because at night, man-eating demons roam the land." he said stoically.

You two were hesitant but accepted nonetheless.

After getting in a comfortable position, you slowly drifted off to sleep thinking about what mom made for dinner.

"Goodbye Saburo-san! Take care!" yelled Tanjiro as you began going up the mountain.

"Ne, (Y/N) , what will mom say about this? We didn't return home for the whole night!" you said worried.

"Don't worry Tanjiro, I'll take care of it." you said as you ruffled his hair.

But...

Your happiness was cut short...

As you stared at the two bodies in front of your house, you looked horrified. Even thought you've seen grosser things, it's been a long time since then and you tried to forget.

Tanjiro and you ran to the two bodies and looked inside the house. Though regretting your actions, both of your faces getting a look that can't be described by words as you looked at the massacre in front of you.

Blood everywhere, bodies littered across the floor.

Even through tears and the horrible smell, you checked the pulses of your family members. But no luck. Except-

"(Y/N)!!" you heard.

You whipped around to see Tanjiro holding Nezuko in his arms.

"She's still alive (Y/N)!" he yelled as your eyes widened.

You quickly ran to him and put her on your back as you began going off with Tanjiro grabbing a hatchet and moving closely behind.

Through the snow you moved, but then you felt Nezuko move slightly, which turned into hard pulls and thrashes which resulted in you two rolling down the side of the cliff.

"(Y/N)!! Nezuko!!" Tanjiro yelled in fear as he made his way down as fast as possible.

You opened your eyes and groaned at the slight pain, but it immediately went away and you picked yourself up from the snow.

You looked around, trying to find Nezuko, when your eyes landed on her. Standing in the middle of a small clearing as veins were popping round her face and on her arms.
