Chapter 19

You stood as your arm regenerated. Eyeing the shadow standing opposite of you.

"So... You're supposed to be (Y/N)? Who I am a copy of." said the shadow as you stared at it.

"That's right. You're just a copy." you said as you dashed at it ready to slice it in half.

The shadow smiled as you thought you cut it, but it just appeared behind you.

You turned around just in time to block it's sword strike which sent you flying into a rock.

You groaned a bit but quickly brought your sword up to block another strike aimed at your neck.

"You can't let your guard down (Y/N)! Focus!" Kuro yelled at you from within your mind.

"I know, I know." you said as you began clashing with your shadow.

It went for a horizontal slash to your left, you swung your sword to block it.

His sword, in the midst of the swing, changed direction as it went upwards and slashed you across the face.

You were quite surprised by this as you slashed at him but he jumped away.

"(Y/N)... You're not as strong as I thought." it said as you stretched your arms.

"What are you talking about? This isn't even enough to warm me up." you said as it only smiled.

"Then what about this?"

It dashed at you while holding it's sword at it's side.

You assumed a lower stance as it approached you fast.

You were about to slash, but the shadow brought it's sword over it's head, slashing at you down the middle.

You barely had time to lean backwards as the sword slammed into the ground, slashing it apart.

You were about to slash it again, but it already swung it's sword up. It broke your defense as it's sword hit the hilt of yours, your arms going over your head. You were wide open.

Your eyes widened.

"Breath of Light: Seventh Form: Flickering Thrusts." it said as it stabbed at you many times in a quick succession.

You were unable to block as you were blown away with holes in various spots on your body.

You grunted as you spun in the air and landed on your feet.

The shadow appeared in front of you but you already anticipated this, you slashed at it's side which was completely open.

Your sword however hit nothing as you saw the shadow jump over it.

You tried bring your sword back to block the incoming attack, but you didn't have time.

"Breath of Light: Second Form: Light Ray." it appeared behind you as various spots were slashed on your body.

You kept standing as you breathed in, your body healing and getting incased in a white aura.

The shadow only smiled however.

"Now you're taking me seriously."

White aura surrounded it's body too as you two disappeared from sight.

Ground would crack and break as you two would clash in the air.

Craters were being made by the collision of the same breath style.

"Kuro... Why can't I hit him? What the hell is going on?" you asked in your mind as you jumped off of a rock and tried to slice the shadow, only for it to spin in the air and strike your sword away.
