The secrets of summer

Chapter 7

"Aaaaaaah" I wake to on a Monday morning.

I roll over and grown "what time is it and why are you in my room?" I ask Bri.

"I'm going on a date with Colton!" she screams.

"You didn't answer my question what time is it?" I throw my pillow at her but miss.

She laughs and tells me "It's ten now get up lazy." I shower and meet Brianna downstairs to gossip.

"Okay tell me all the details" I poke at her.

"He texted me and was like is this Bri's phone?" She tells me and I nod.

"Anyways so we continue talking and after half an hour he asks me if I'm free on Saturday and of course I say yes!" I grab her and we hug.

"I'm really happy for you too! Do you know where you're going?" I ask her.

"That's the exciting part, he said not to worry he'll plan the entire thing." She screams!

"Oh my god you guys are so cute already. He's so perfect for you." We go to Harveys to grab a bite of lunch.

While we're there I text Austin and tell him that I have to cancel on finding a job, I'm with Bri instead.

It's now Friday morning and I'm going to find a job even though it's against all my human nature, I need the money. Having a boyfriend is expensive, Austin and I try to do cheap dates but we also want to go out on nice expensive dates.

He picks me up around ten in the morning and we go to our first stop Johnny Rockets. He pulls into the parking lot and shuts the car off. We sit there in silence waiting until the interview. It doesn't start until 10:45 and right now it's 10:32.

He is the first to break the silence, "Just breathe, you'll be okay."

I look over at him and smile "I know."

He leans towards me and right before our lips touch he pulls away. I look at him, and he laughs. "You need a breath mint." He tells me. I laugh and playfully hit him

"Hey" I yell.

We're both giggling and he pulls out a pack of mints from his pocket. He leans in again, and before he backs away again I wrap my arms around his neck and pull him into me.

The clock now reads 10:43. "I guess I should go in now, huh?"

He nods and says "good luck."

I get out of his truck and close the door. Take a deep breath, wipe my palms off and walk in.

Austin's still sitting there when I get out, I try to hide my smile from him. "You got it!" He tells me before I say anything. "I knew you could do it."

I run up to him and he pulls me into his sweet warm hugs. I love his hugs, they're like a teddy bear. And he smells good!

"How'd you know?" I ask him.

He pulls away and says "I could tell by your eyes."

I love when he does that, knows what I'm thinking before I say it. He understands me better than anyone else I know.

"I hate to be the bearer of bad news but, baby we need to talk about it." Says Austin
