The secrets of summer

Chapter 4

I have nothing going on tomorrow, so my plans are to tan, sleep and tan more. I stay up late for no apparent reason till two in the morning.

I wake up and its 7:38, I roll back over and pull the covers over my head and groan. I fall back asleep within seconds. The next time I wake up it's one o'clock. I brush my teeth and throw on a bikini. I grab a towel and go outside to tan. I lie on my stomach first then accidently fall asleep. Thank god I never burn! I wake up to Austin massaging my back, I smile to myself and let him continue not saying that I'm awake. After a few minutes he says to me

"Darling I know you woke up." He tells me.

I giggle "Yeah, you're right but please continue. It feels good."

I roll over onto my back and smile at Austin, his brown eyes sparkle and his smile lights up my day. He makes me so happy, he is my world and I want nothing else, no one else.

"What are you thinking about?" he asks me.

I pause for a minute to try and collect my thoughts, "You know I love you right?"

He looks at me like I have two heads, then says "Of course darling and I love you just as much. Why do u say it like that?"

I start to tear up a bit and he notices, "Did I do something wrong baby?" I feel bad that I've worried him now.

"No, no. It's just that I don't want to lose you, I love you so much!" He smiles at me then leans down to kiss me.

He pulls away shortly, and whispers in my ear "You are my world, you will never lose me. Even if you push me away I will still fight to be in your life with you." I kiss him again, then he lays down beside me in the grass and stare at the cloudless blue sky.

Around 8:00 my mom comes outside to tell Austin to go home now.

I walk him to his car, "Stay over tonight please, I want to stay with you." I beg him.

"Your mom doesn't trust us alone." He tells me.

"She doesn't need to know, just drive down the street to park your car then come back over." I do my puppy dog face on him (it always works)

"Alright, alright I'll see you in fifteen." He rolls his eyes and I smile. I kiss him for a long time, so in case my mom is watching she'll think he's actually leaving.

My mom usually goes to sleep around 8:30 ever since my dad left us five years ago. Slowly it's getting better.

At exactly 8:30 my mom tells me goodnight and then goes upstairs to sleep. Austin hasn't come back yet so I text him 'where are you????' Five seconds later he texts back 'check the door, I was waiting for your mom to go to sleep silly' I walk to the front door and like he said he was right there. I let him in and we try to sneak upstairs. My mom comes out of her room, luckily we only went up two steps, so Austin jumps down and runs around the corner.

"What was that noise Sasha?" she asks me.

"Oh I was just coming up the stairs, sorry if I was stomping." I gulp, knowing my explanation wasn't that great.

She looks at me suspiciously. "Oh okay well be quiet please." She walks into the bathroom. I walk up the stairs slowly, she comes out then says goodnight again. The second try Austin and I sneak up successfully.
