I see the panic flash across his face. He gets up and starts pacing around my room. I hope he can control his anger before Austin gets here.
"What do you mean you know Bri?" he screams "You played me. You wanted me to kiss you so you could tell her that I'm not good enough for her."
I begin to tell him that he's wrong but Tiffany cuts in "No you have it all wrong, Sasha is just full blown slut. Cheating on Austin and all."
I glare at her "Shut up, you're just as bad. Being my best friend and wanting to sleep with my boyfriend and I can tell by the way you're looking at Colton that you want to do him."
Colton is across the room before I know what he's doing. He is right in front of her cussing her out for insulting me.
"You take that back, I don't know you that well but you're a bitch and for the record I would never sleep with you."
Tiffany looks ashamed, she turns and leaves my room and as well as my house. I'm glad he stood up for me.
We don't talk until we hear the car start "Thanks for sticking up for me."
He smiles and nods not breaking eye contact. I feel my stomach flip. He leans toward me and his lips brush against mine, I push onto his lap and wrap my fingers through his hair. I smile with pleasure as I feel the fire heating between us. I've grown to enjoy the nervous feeling I have with him.
"What the hell is go on here?" I hear a voice say from behind me.
I jump off of Colton's lap as Austin take long strides towards us. His fist is balled at his side and I scream to try and stop him before he regrets something.
"Austin no stop. Don't do this!" It's too late his hand has already connected to Colton's face and he falls to his knees on the floor.
"So you're the ex." He stupidly remarks making Austin hit him again right on the lip.
This time Colton gets up and he very easily pins Austin to the floor making him look weak.
"You don't want to fight me man, there's a reason she left you for me." Colton gets off Austin but Austin kicks him right in the nuts. Making him groan in pain.
"Screw you, she deserves better than you. You made her like this." Austin explains to Colton. He takes one more hit to his face before leaving.
I jump towards Colton and softly touch his face to look at his blossoming bruises and cuts.
I run to get a wet cloth, so I can tend for his wounds. When I get back he is sitting on my bed crying, I don't say anything. Unsure what to say or if he even wants me to talk. I want the uncomplicated life back, I want to look in the mirror and not have to think how much I've screwed up.
He breaks the silence after a while of my wiping his beautiful face off. "I'm sorry you had to see that. Not one of my best moments."
He tries to lighten the mood. I smile and try to help. "As much as I had wanted to see two guys fight over me that was not what I pictured."
He smiles a fake smile, it's not as nice to look at as his other one but still cute.
He whispers to me "Every time I see you I want to kiss you. Bri is nice and all but I really want you."
I blush and drop my eyes. He leans closer, I don't pull away but I don't throw myself into him. When his lips meet mine it's like a relief has been washed over me and I can finally relax.
