I hear a knock at the door and run down the stairs before my mom can get to it. I open it, expecting to see Tiffany but its Colton. I try to close the door but he steps inside.

"Now is not a good time." I whisper to him.

"Who's there?" Yells my mom.

"It's just Hope, mom its fine." She doesn't answer and I can hear her making dinner for later tonight.

"Look, I just came to make sure you're alright." Colton tries to explain.

"A friend of mine is on her way here and she can't know you." He doesn't listen to me and he pushes past me and up to my room.

I need him to leave, what happens when Tiffany sees him? Will she tell Austin? Of course she would she wants him for herself. The worse I look, the better she does.

"Shut up for a minute I have to call someone." I tell him.

I grab my phone and dial Austin's number. It rings twice before he picks up "I'm so happy you called I missed hearing you."

I take a deep breath I begin to tell him everything that happened. "I'm coming over there to talk to you right now."

My palms are sweating and my entire body is shaking as I try to collect my thoughts. "No you can't Colton's here right now."

The engine of his car is roaming and his wheels squeak "Shit Sasha, why are you doing this to me?"

I don't answer. Great now all we need is Bri to come and it'll be a horrible party. Why does everyone want to come to my house today?

The door opens and my mom is talking to someone, I can't hear who but I think it's Tiff. I walk down the stairs as quietly as I can to make sure it isn't another unwelcome guest. I'm the slightest bit relieved to see it's Tiffany and I walk down to greet her. She goes in for the hug but I awkwardly brush her off. My mom looks at me like she is mad that I didn't hug Tiffany. We walk up to my room and I introduce her and Colton.

"So how do you two know each other?" She questions.

I mumble "It's a long story."

And she rolls her eyes "Don't worry I already know what happened, Bri called me."

I gulp, Colton doesn't know the part about Bri being my best friend. Correction she was my best friend. I don't think she will ever talk to me again.

"You know Bri?" He asks in the most innocent way.

He's seventeen and looks like a five year old who was just told they couldn't have an ice cream cone. I gulp again. Knowing this will not end up well.

Will he leave now that he knows how big of a screw up I am? I'm unsure if I'm ready to hear what he has to say as I stand in silence waiting for him to continue. He has the same look on his face, waiting me to explain the confusion.
