Chapter 12

Once Jame had all the bags packed he decided they should leave in the morning because it would be a long trip. "Hey Reg, do you want me to sleep on the couch?" James asked from the bathroom.

"It's fine you can sleep on the bed." Regulus said barely audible to James but he heard. James walked out of the bathroom and Regulus went in. James was always scared when Regulus went to the bathroom alone but he didn't want to be a helicopter boyfriend, so if Regulus took longer then five minutes he would knock and ask if Regulus was ok. Regulus came back out in sweatpants and one of James's t-shirts that was pretty big on Regulus. James just smiled and walked over to Regulus wrapping him in a hug.

"You look cute, Detective Clouseau."

"Shut the hell up!" Regulus's said melting into James's embrace.

"Reg?"

"Yes Potter?"

"Would it be fine if I where to give you a kiss on the forehead?" James asked.

"Fine but only on my cheek and on my forehead." Regulus said after thinking it through. James leaned in and gave Regulus a soft kiss on the forehead, Regulus flinched before wrapping his arms around James waist.

"Thanks Reg, now let's go to sleep we have a road trip tomorrow!" James said walking to the bed with Regulus behind him. James laid down and Regulus laid down across from him. Regulus still didn't want to be touched in his sleep so James respected that and stayed his distance.

In the morning

Today James woke up and Regulus was still on his side of the bed facing the wall. James looked at the time and it was 5:04 am, the time James wanted to get going so he could make it to the place for breakfast the next morning. James got up and changed clothes, he put on a white t-shirt, a flowery Hawaiian shirt, blue jeans, and crocs. "Regulus wake up we need to get going soon."

"Shut the hell up Sirius your a douche bag." Regulus said.

"Regulus it it's me James not Sirius." James almost snorted.

"Go awaaaaaay, I am trying to sleep."

"Cutie we have a road trip today, you need to get ready or you won't be able to meet this person."

"Who is it?" Regulus asked.

"That's a surprise."

"I hate surprises." Regulus's complained.

"Pleeeeeeeeeeeeease?" James said dragging the e way to long.

"Fine I'll go get ready, but you're paying for my coffee." Regulus huffed getting up.

"Deal!" James said excitedly. Regulus went in the bathroom and took a quick shower. He came out still in his pajamas. "Aren't you going to change?"

"I forgot to bring clothes when I took a shower now shut up." Regulus went to James's closet grabbed a hoodie then went to his own stuff and grabbed a few items, once he was done he went back in the bathroom. He came out in black ripped jeans, James's High School Musical hoodie, and some green converse.

"Are you in a better mood?" James asked.

"Sure, let go- WAIT!" Regulus ran to his tuff and pulled out his hippo bracelet and a hippo necklace. "Is Hippo coming with us?"

"Yes I already called the person and she said Hippo could come. I already have everything packed for me, you, and Hippo." James said grabbing the bags.

"I'll get Hippo." Regulus said exiting the room. James took the bags to his car and waited for Regulus. A few minutes later Regulus walked out looking like he was about to break down crying. He got in the car and held on tight to Hippo.
