Dani's POV
I headed to acting class, chewing some random gum I sweet talked someone to get. I have no idea why the entire school has to take it, as most of us don't even want anything to do with acting. Besides the theater nerds of course.
The hallways were cleared of students because I decided to be late on my first ever acting class. All about the impression to get me that reputation. I pushed the door of the room open so hard, the poor paper bin was knocked to the first row.
There were a few screams but I casually walked into class. "Miss Danielle Nicole Cimorelli I assume?" the teacher asked, stopping me. I frowned as I observed what he was wearing.
He was dressed too nicely for a teacher. A navy blue suit with a a stylish red tie and polished black shoes to finish the fancy outfit. He had a slight stubble for a weak attempt to grow a beard and slicked back hair, obviously sprayed with a lot of hair spray.
"You attending your friend's wedding because you can't find someone who likes you?" I said, with a polite smile not matching my sarcastic tone. "You're definitely Danielle Nicole Cimorelli," he sighed. "Could you pick up the waste bin?" He asked.
"The chances of that happening are less than the chance of me managing to fit you in the bin," I rolled my eyes. I chewed the gum in my mouth a few more times and spit it into a tissue before crushing it into a ball and tossing into the pile of unwanted paper near the overturned bin.
I smirked and headed to an empty seat. A few guys whistled as I strolled past and I slyly touched their shoulders as I passed. I caught a blond girl staring at me as I walked to the empty seat. I caught her eye and winked before seating down. Hey, I'm open to all my options.
Sadly, the only seats available were in front and beside a girl with brown hair. She was looking out in the window, watching the view or something boring. I couldn't see her face but I bet she had glasses and was ugly like every nerd I unfortunately noticed.
She hadn't noticed me come in? Seriously? Next time, do I need to set off fireworks indoors to get everyone looking at me? "Hey nerd," I addressed her. She didn't respond, either because she was in her own world or just didn't want to.
"She's mute and probably deaf," the guy in front laughed. "Don't even try," he laughed. I let out a short laugh and gave him a flirtatious look, twirling my hair. He gave me a sly grin and turned his attention back to the front.
"Okay class, we're doing the project that everyone in this school has to do," the teacher said dramatically. I rolled my eyes. Could this get any more lame? The rest of the class collectively groaned.
The girl beside me still was gazing out the window, not giving a care about the lesson. "Hey nerd," I said, tapping her shoulder. She still doesn't respond. Is she just a dead corpse?
"LISTEN TO ME WHEN I TALK TO YOU BITCH," I yelled, interrupting the teacher in the middle of his speech. "DANIELLE! Don't talk to others that way!" The teacher yelled back.
"FOR FUCK'S SAKE! DANIELLE DOESN'T EXIST! I'M DANI!" I yelled, getting up angrily. The class was silent for a few moments. "Well Dani," he said coldly. "I'd sent you to detention but that won't change you," he said. "So you do have a brain," I commented.
He shot me a angry glare, only for me to return it. His expression then became cold. "Since you seem to have a fascination with Miss Adams. You can partner her for the project," he said.
My eyes slowly turned to face my new partner. She gaze was finally broken from the window and now fixed at the teacher. "Miss Adams, your new partner, Miss Cimorelli," he said, pointing at me.
