Chapter 5: don't tell

Dani's POV

*FEW WEEKS LATER*

  I blew him a kiss as he walked away. I slammed the door before I could see his reaction. Adams was lying on her stomach and reading a book. She looked up as I stormed past her and threw my bag down.

  She cocked an eyebrow at me and I sighed. "It was terrible. No details needed," I groaned. She tore out a page of a notebook tossed on the floor. She scribbled something down and passed it to me. "I know. I was gonna kiss Caleb in front of him anyways but can any guy actually bring me on a decent date?" I said. She wrote down some more and passed the paper back to me. "You're bi, get a girl. That Hannah is practically drooling over you." It read. I nodded.

  "I know but I don't think Hannah likes me anymore," I chuckled. She arched her eyebrow. "That party I went with Gerry yesterday? I ditched him and slept with her. In the morning, she caught me kissing Gerry. It was messy. You should have seen it," I laughed. She nodded and took her towel that was strewn on her bed.

  "But I have another date like really soon!" I protested. She scribbled down more words and gave the paper to me with an eye roll. I read her words and felt my cheeks heat up. "Tempting," I replied slyly. She prodded my chest with a finger. "Relax. I won't do it," I said. "Unless you consent," I added, plastering an innocent smile on my face.

  She flicked my forehead. "Hollow," she smirked. "Are we not past one word each time you speak? Even your laughs are silent, you only speak when you want to snark me," I pouted. She stuck out her tongue. "I think Henry would allow me to use his shower for a while. So long as he can plan a second date or something," I sighed.

  She nodded and headed to the shower. "Alright Henry," I muttered to myself, "You better not being me to that stupid bar again." I didn't have to wait too long for a reply and Henry agreed readily. On terms that I had to bring my own things because well... Cheapskate. I grabbed my towel and headed to the door. I stopped in my tracks realizing something. Soap.

  I knocked urgently on the bathroom door. "Adams! You better cover yourself! I'm coming in to get my soap!" I yelled. I heard the shower shut off and soon after, the door opened and she rolled her eyes at me.

  Her towel was wrapped around her body and her hair still had soap suds. I watched a droplet of water slide down her chest and disappeared into the towel. "Maybe I'd rather take up your offer now," I smirked. She bit her lip and looked away. She's fucking precious.
 
  I chuckled and walked passed her to get my bottles of soap. "Wanna?" She challenged with a smirk. I laughed. "Sure," I replied. I lifted the hem of my shirt and she slapped my hand and shoved me in the direction of the door. "Nervous, Adams?" I joked. I trailed my hand against her ass. She slapped my hand off again and glared daggers at me. "Nice ass," I smirked. She shoved me harder, making me stumble out the door. She slammed the door shut and I laughed. "I think you'd be much better at flirting if you actually said more,"I called out.

  I opened the dorm door and came face to face with a woman. "Uh, wrong dorm lady," I said. "Is Lauren Christine Adams here?" She asked. I narrowed my eyes at her. "Who's asking?" I questioned. "Lisa Michelle Adams. Is my sister inside?" She said.

  "Today just got way more interesting. Come in, she's in the shower," I smiled. "You going somewhere?" She asked, nodding at the bottles of soap clutched against my chest. "I was supposed to be going on a date but I'd rather hear embarrassing stories about my roommate," I said. She smiled cheekily at me. "You've come to the right person," she announced.

  She came in and sat on Lauren's chair. "Before the embarrassing stories, how's Laurie doing?" She asked. "Not life threatening," I replied. "What's you relationship with her? Just roommates Friends? Girlfriends?" She asked. I laughed awkwardly when she said the last one. "Just friends," I answered.
