"Lily! Wake up! We'll miss the train!" Marls yells as she jumps on me. "No!" I yell sleepily. "Get off me." "Only if you promise to get up." Marls smiles at me. "Fine!" I say, exasperated. Marls gets up off me and I get out of bed.

"Wait, why are you here?" I ask with a confused look plastered on my face. "To get you out of bed of course." "No, why are you in my room? How did you get in? We changed the password." I groan as I walk to pick up my clothes.

"James was walking out as I was coming in." She says with a grin. "Now, let's go. I'll wait for you in the common room." She turns and walks away, giving me privacy to change. I pull on black straight leg jeans, a light blue blouse, and a white cable knit sweater. I walk to the bathroom to brush my hair and do some makeup. "Let's go!" I say as I link my arm through Marls' arm and we walk out of the common room together.

We reach the Great Hall and I eat extremely quickly. When I get up to leave, I hear, "Off to the library?" James smirks at me. I roll my eyes. "No, I have a few more things to pack." James stands up. "I'll come with you." I notice our friends staring at us and James takes my hand and we walk out. I see Severus staring and I point that out to James, who then in response grabs my waist and kisses me lightly on the cheek. I giggle and can't help looking back at Severus, who looks beyond annoyed.

We enter our common room and walk up to my room and James helps me pack my books. "Are you coming to Marls' for her Christmas party?" I ask, striking up a conversation. "Yeah I am. Also, on Christmas Eve, we always have a party. It'll be after Marlene's though, and my parents said I could bring a date." He smiles widely at me. "Sounds fun! I'd love to come." I exclaim as I finish packing up all my books.

"Great! Ok, we should go to the carriages." "What time is it?" I ask, confused. I thought we had more time. "It is 8:45." James says, looking up from his watch. "Oh we only have fifteen minutes until they leave!" James offers his hand and I take it. We quickly walk out of the room and run down the stairs to the main entrance to meet the others. "Hey!" We yell as we approach our friends who were waiting for us. "You're late! What were you doing?" Marls eyes us suspiciously. "Just packing. I swear." James smirks and looks between me and Marls. I roll my eyes and we follow our friends onto the carriage.

Finally we arrive at the train station and we find a compartment all together near the middle. Later, as the trolley witch is walking by, James and I jump up to buy snacks for us and our friends. "Chocolate frogs, Berties Botts, Peppermint Toads, and Pumpkin Pasties please." James says, pointing to different places on the cart.

The trolley witch passes us all of the stuff and James takes out his money. "Are you sure?" I ask warily. "I have money." "No, really. It's ok." James passes the trolley witch his money and right as we are about to walk back into our compartment, I hear, "Lily!"

I whip my head around and Severus is standing there alone. "What do you want, Severus?" I say with a bored tone. "I need to talk to you alone." He glares at James and James glares back. "No, I don't think so. Because last time you wanted to talk to me, you attacked me." Severus looks like he's about to say something, but before he can, I give him the finger, take James' hand, and walk back into our compartment. I close the door but I see Severus reaching out to open it, once I sit down. "Colloportus." I say, pointing my wand at the door and locking it. Severus realizes it's locked, glares at all of us, and storms off, recognizing defeat.

"Bitch." I mumble under my breath. "Wow, that's some strong language. What did he do?" Dorcas asks me. I sigh. "He wanted to talk to me alone. I just can't deal with him. He literally attacked me and he thinks I would talk to him?" "Yuck. He's a creep. Do you want me to kick his ass or something?" I smile weakly at that and shrug.

"Ok, we'll be right back." She gets up and Marls and Sirius follow. James shoots me a knowing smile. It's just us now because Mary, Alice, Remus, and Peter decided to stay at Hogwarts during the holiday. James leans towards me and gives me a quick kiss. "You know, I'm really happy we're together now." He flashes me a winning smile and the dimple in his left cheek shows. "Me too." I say and kiss him this time. I feel him smiling and he kisses back. "James! Lily! Ah! My virgin eyes!" Sirius shrieks as he enters the compartment, followed by a laughing Marls and Dorcas. Sirius sits down on the empty seat on the other side of James, and I hear him whisper to Sirius, "I know for a fact that's not true." I roll my eyes and turn my attention to the girls.

"What did you do to him?" Marls and Dorcas exchange a look and Marls starts talking. "Well it wasn't just him. We did the Ebublio Jinx to Severus, Lucius, and someone else we don't know. We did the Jelly Legs Jinx to Narcissa and Bellatrix. And then the Melofors Jinx to the rest of them." She finishes as she beams at me. "It was bloody brilliant! I can't wait until their parents see them with giant bubble around their heads, pumpkins on their heads, and their legs not working." Dorcas says smiling and counts the effects of the spells on her fingers. I smirk as I imagine the scene.

We finally arrive at Kings Cross Station. We grab our trunks and get off the train. I'm staying at Marls house over the holiday, so her mom, Melissa, is here to pick us up. Dorcas' mom is here and they hurry away, but not before we hug her and tell her we'll write to her. As I'm standing with Marls and her mom, I see James and Sirius talking to an older, kind looking couple. These must be James' parents. His father has his same eyes and hair while his mother has his smile.

The four of them approach us, beaming. "Hello!" Mr. Potter calls out joyfully and shakes my hand. Mrs. Potter says to me, "You must be Lily! I've heard so much about you!" She smiles at me, the wrinkles on her face deepening. "Oh! I hope they were good things." I turn to look at James. To my surprise, he flushes and turns away. "And you must be Marlene! And Melissa! Pleasure to meet you! Oh! And I hope you can all make it to our Christmas party!" Mrs. Potter says eagerly. "Unfortunately I can't come but the girl's definitely can!" Melissa beams at us. "Yes, thank you for inviting us Mr. and Mrs. Potter!" I thank them and see James and Sirius whispering to each other behind his parents' backs. "Oh please, call us Euphemia and Fleamont." Mr. Potter says all smiles.

"Well, we'd better be off." Melissa says and shakes Mr.- I mean Euphemia and Fleamont's hands. "Lily, can I talk to you for a moment?" I step towards him and see Marls smirking from the corner of my eye. James and I take a step away and Sirius follows. "Alone Padfoot." James rolls his eyes. "I am deeply offended." Sirius says, struggling to maintain a straight face, but walks away nonetheless. "I'm going to miss you." James says, taking a step closer to me. "I'll miss you too." I throw my arms around his neck and bring his face closer to mine. He pulls me into a deep kiss, I smile, and pull away after a moment. "You do know your parent's are here." He chuckles lightly. "They won't care." He pulls me in again for a quick second and I say, "I really need to go." He sighs and ruffles his hair. "Oh all right." He grins at me and we both turn to walk back to our friends. As I walk away I hear from behind me, "Remember to write to me!" James bellows and I give him a wide smile and a thumb's up as Marls pulls me towards her mom.
