I awoke the next morning to yelling and running. I quickly hopped out of bed and saw henchman running around.
"He went that way!" One called out.
I saw Midas and Mewoscles running out a door with their guns. The Agency was complete chaos. I ran out my bedroom still in the clothes I slept in. Skye rushed past me holding a gun.
"Skye what the hell is happening?!" I said.
"A shadow spy has been spotted and we can't let him get away. Who knows what kind of information he got!"
She ran away. I quickly ran into my room and grabbed my gun (a scar) and left running down the halls. I ran out of the Agency and looked at the water. A speedboat was cruising away from the Agency.
"Damnit!!" Yelled a voice.
I walked back inside to see Midas furious.
"How could you let him get away? You train for this exact moment and yet you fail me!"
Midas turned only to see me staring. He looked back at the henchmen and shook his head. He walked away. I stood still for another minute before finally moving. It was only 9 in the morning. I decided to get ready. I put my training outfit on and got some breakfast. After, I headed down and started my training.
I sat down on a bench in the training room gulping down water. I looked at the clock and saw it read 3.
"Have I really been down here for that long?" I thought.
I shook the thought from my head and went back to my room. After I showered I stood in my closet thinking about what I wanted to wear. I grabbed a cropped t-shirt and some ripped jeans. I put on a pair of combat boots and walked out of my room to grab something to eat.
"Pretty crazy morning huh?"
I turned to see Tina coming towards me.
"Yeah. Midas seemed angry," I said.
"Oh he was furious. He's been in his office all day. I walked by it on my way here and over heard him yelling at the boss of the henchmen."
I shook my head and looked down at my so called "dinner." It consisted of Mac n Cheese and a side of apple sauce. After I ate I sat and continued to talk to Tina. It was just small talk until she left to go get ready for bed. I checked the clock and say it read 9. Time was really flying by today.
On the way back to my room I passed Midas. As I walked past him I felt something grab my wrist. My head whipped around to see Midas with a sad expression on his face.
"I'm so sorry you had to see me like that today. I don't want you to think I'm like that during every attack. I just- when something like THIS happens, it's very important to stop them before leaving, because we don't know what information they have or what they took."
I looked at him before replying, "Midas please don't feel sorry. I understand. You needed to do your job."
He looked up and gave me a small smile.
"Thank you, for understanding. Sleep well Y/N," he said as he walked off.
I could feel my face get hot as I blushed. Was I actually catching feelings for him?
The whole way back to my room I couldn't stop thinking about him. Especially the way he smiled at me as he walked away. I undressed myself, only being in my underwear, I climbed into bed hoping I'd dream of Midas.
