Once we arrived back at the Agency, we headed back down to the mission room. I saw Midas pacing back and forth until he noticed us.
"You're back! Good. What did you get?"
I looked at him, "I overheard two henchmen talking about invading the Agency this weekend."
Midas frowned and shook his head.
"But, I did manage to grab this," I said as I handed him the folder.
He grabbed it and looked at me, then looked back down at the folder. He placed it on the table and smiled. Before I could say anything else he grabbed me and picked me up, swinging me around.
"You did it! I cant believe it! I have been trying to get this folder for close to a year now, and you finally got it!"
He put me down and smiled at everyone else.
"As for the rest of you. Thank you. Without your help and hard work we would've never been able to retrieve this folder."
I looked up and everyone was smiling and talking to one another, except Maya who stood and walked out of the room. I tried following her but Midas grabbed my hand and shook his head. I looked down feeling bad for her, but then realized I should be celebrating like everyone else.
After awhile it was just me and Midas in the room together. We were both chatting while drinking some wine.
"Today was crazy," I said.
"I'm sure it was darling," Midas said as he held my hand.
"I think I should probably head to bed now. I'm getting up early to train tomorrow morning."
"Train? But what for? You out did yourself today, give your body a break my dear."
I smiled at him, "I guess you're right. I'll have one more glass of wine, then I'm heading up."
We continued talking until he cupped cheek and started kissing me. As we were just beginning to make out we heard footsteps and pulled away. In walked Mewoscles.
"I hope I wasn't interrupting anything," he shyly said, "I left my yarn ball and...oh! I found it."
He left the room and Midas and I both started laughing.
"Now where were we?" He said pulling me in.

We both pulled away smiling.
"I should probably be heading to bed now," I said.
"If you must," Midas said.
Like usual he brought me back to me room and kissed my cheek. I waved good night and shut my door. I undressed myself and only wore a baggy t-shirt two sizes too big for me and my underwear. I crawled into and shut my eyes. I heard a beep come from my door. I was too tired to get up and look so I assumed it was my imagination. I felt someone or something crawl into my bed. A warm arm wrapped around my waist and a head was buried into my neck.
"I didn't want you to have to sleep alone," a low voice said.
I opened my eyes and looked down at my waist to see two gold hands wrapped around me. I smiled and closed my eyes and fell back asleep. I woke up the next morning to an empty bed. I frowned. Maybe it was a dream? I got dressed for the day and left my room. I walked into the break room and grabbed a banana. As I left I ran into Midas.
"Good morning sweetheart," he cooed.
"Good morning handsome," I said smiling.
"Did you like how I came into your room last night to sleep with you?"
I showed a small smile and blushed, "Yes I enjoyed it a lot."
"I'm doing lunch on my balcony today, I hope to see you there," he said walking off.
I met up with Skye and Tina. They were outside taking a walk.
"Hey Y/N," Tina said smiling.
"Hey guys," I said.
"What you did yesterday was amazing," Skye said.
"Yes I agree," Tina added.
I smiled at both of them before checking the time.
"Oh shoot. Hey I'll catch up with you guys later I gotta go uhh...I gotta go do something."
They both looked at each other and shrugged their shoulders. I ran up the stairs on my way to Midas' office when I passed a mirror. I checked myself out before entering his room. I opened the door, no longer feeling the need to knock, and walked out to his balcony. A nice two person table was set up with a vase full of gold roses.
"Hello Midas," I said as I walked up to him. I kissed his cheek.
"Hello doll," he said.
We both sat down at the table and began eating. Our lunch was a salad with chicken on top, and for a side he had out chocolate covered strawberries. As we continued to eat I asked himself question I'd been longing to ask.
"Midas, if you don't mind me asking, what happened to your eye?"
He looked from his salad and said, "Well a couple of years ago me and the agents were on a mission. It was the most dangerous mission we had ever been on. We were invading the Grotto trying to take down Shadow's boss. We were surrounded by henchmen. Everyone gave it their all to fight them off. I managed to escape and I was off looking for the boss. As I approached what looked to be his headquarters a siren went off and before I know it i was being lasered right in the eye. I backed up and ran out of there covering my eye. The pain was immense. I yelled for everyone to retreat. They all made it out with only a few scrapes and bruises. I however left with a blind eye."
"Oh Midas...I'm so sorry."
He looked down, then back up at me. He smiled and said, "Don't feel bad love, I think the scar looks badass on me." He winked and smiled.
Once we were all done eating we sat on his balcony on this cushioned couch. He had his arm around me and my head was resting on his shoulder. Before I knew it he fell asleep. I looked at him admiring each and every one of his features. From his unique tattoos, to his scar tracing across his eye. I laid my head back down and rested my eyes. I thought about how much I loved this man and how lucky I was.
