She stared at herself in the mirror, the mirror rimmed gold with intricate carvings in it.

The abandoned apartment was extravagant, it was beautiful and modern and complimentary to what the Capitol was all about.

A scratch ran down her face, from what she wasn't sure. Black circles were under her eyes as a sign of the toll this war, this rebellion, was taking on her.

A knock sounded on the door.

"It's- it's Katniss. There's a mandatory viewing on the projector," her voice rang through Octavias ear, who only called out a simple response.

Murder had never bothered her to this extent, before. She killed many people, but something about the Capitol thinking it was her, that js was Finnick bothered her. She swallowed down another wave of nausea at the thought.

She entered the room again, noticing Ceasar Flickermans face on the screen.

Finnick sent her a worried look, and she just sent him a smile smile as she joined everyone.

"Katniss Everdeen, our once favorite daughter, has infiltrated the city with some of the victors whose names are all to familiar."

"Finnick Odair, Peeta Mellark and the supposed sweet girl that was Octavia Whether."

Octavia flinched at his words, biting her lip in annoyance. Finnick noticed, grabbing her waist and pulling her down to sit beside him.

"It's okay, love," he whispered, his lips brushing the shell of her ear. She leaned into his touch, sighing.

"Take a look at our peacekeepers, who cornered Katniss Everdeen and her band of foolish rebels. Whatever arrogance that brought this treacherous girl back to us, you are about to witness not only a great victory for the Capitol, but for Panem," the picture switched from Ceasars face to the footage of the bombing of the Leeg sisters.

Ceasar announced their death, faking remorse for the girl Katniss used to be. Octavia scoffed, leaning completely into Finnick and digging her face into his neck.

"So what are we gonna do now that we're dead?" Gale questioned sarcastically.

"Isn't it obvious?" Peeta spoke up, his voice tired and upset. "The next move is to kill me."

"I-I murdered one of our squad members. And Katniss is right, I'm a mutt. And it's only a matter of time before I snap again. I'm not in control, I need a nightlock pill so I can die when I need to," Peeta lamented, and Octavia felt a tear run down her cheek and into Finnicks shirt at his words.

"If it gets to that point I'll kill you myself," Gale claimed, and Octavia felt herself stiffen at his words. She moved, sitting up from her position in Finnicks arms.

Gale began walking away, but Octavias words stopped him.

"If you lay a hand on Peeta, and I don't deem it necessary, this knife," she pulled a larger, weighless knife from her belt, "will be embedded in your throat before you can say mercy."

"What, you're gonna gut my dead body just like that girl in your games?" Gale recounted, and that was when Octavia reached her breaking point.
