Everyone ran off and immediately started destroying everything. Aki quickly took a left and came upon a two-pointer. He sprayed water at it, encasing it in a bubble, raising it up before smashing it downwards. Aki made note of it and ran off to find another.
Before long, he had come up with about forty-two points. He ran into a clearing where a bunch of robots was around, and with that, kids as well. He came up with a system with doing two at a time, and that's what he did now, encasing two each in the water he created, raising it, and smashing it down, gaining him five more points. That puts me at forty-seven. I really hope that's enough. I wonder how Deku is...
Suddenly a big crash came though, breaking him of his thoughts. He heard a bunch of screaming and went to see the commotion. It was a zero-pointer at about thirty feet tall, and crushing everything in its path. When the dust cleared, Aki saw the girl, Uraraka, stuck under the rocks. Everyone else must've not seen her, because all of them are too focused on running away. This filled him with anger, and so he rushed to go help the girl. Before he could, however, the zero-pointer came crashing down. He was confused about who stopped the zero and looked around to see what happened. Before long he spotted the culprit.
Sprawled out on the ground, his legs twisted in weird ways and his right arm purple and broken. Uraraka was by his side, a little wobbly, and looking like she just hurled. Aki was stunned. So many questions were racing through his brain. How did she get out of the rubble? How did he break his arm and legs? Why did she throw up? Why is everyone just standing and staring? Why am I not moving?
But most importantly, How did Deku destroy that thing?
Deku, who was always nervous and shaking. Deku, who surely was smart, but acted like he wasn't. Deku, who you wouldn't think as the type to run towards the danger. To risk his life. To save someone he didn't even know.
Deku, who never had a quirk in his entire life, single-handedly destroyed a three-story robot like it was nothing. Did he really have a quirk all this time? No, that's not right. He wouldn't lie, he's not that type of person. Or is he? No, I'm absolutely positive he didn't have a quirk. He would've gotten much farther with that type of quirk. Aki shook all those thoughts away and focused on what was happening.
He ran over to him and checked out his injuries. Before he could even tell him it was going to be ok, he started crawling away, saying, "I still have a chance...to get at least...one point before-"
Mic's voice interrupted him. "And that's it. Time's up!" A siren roared to signify we were done. What an interesting day.
There was a sudden thump. Deku had fainted, it looked to Aki. Didn't he say that he needed at least one point? Poor Deku. He'll never get into U.A. And it was true. With zero points, how was Deku supposed to get in? There is no way that the judges will let a boy who got zero points, quirkless- wait. Maybe not quirkless, but at least no way they would let him in with no points.
Aki started to head back. It looked like Deku wouldn't be walking home with him, so he might as well get a head start.
When he walked out of the front gates, he took a big sigh. So much had happened today, so Aki was so tired. Talking to people. Fighting robots. Tests. Aki was pretty confident that he had gotten in, if a bunch of other people scored lower than him, at least. Forty-seven is a lot, right? Yes, it probably was enough.
Aki didn't even know why he was worrying so much. It's not like he really cares that much. If he didn't get in, big deal, no problem. Yet, something nagged at the back of his head that made him really want to go. Maybe it was his needing to prove himself to his mom. Maybe it was he really did want to be a hero, although that didn't seem to be the case. Maybe...maybe it was wanting to be friends with people like Midoriya and Uraraka. Maybe.
Aki pulled out his phone. "I suppose you can't come pick me up, can you," he sent to his mom. He got a message reading, "nope, busy honey. I know you did well though!" Aki didn't think his mom would think that if he told her what actually happened, she would want him to try harder than that, get forty points, and be top on the exam.
No need to worry about that, though. He readied his hands to spray a water train, one of his favorite things to do. He would create a bubble of water around him, except for his head, so he could breathe, and commanded it to go wherever.
Before he could do that, however, he remembered how thirsty he was from killing all those creatures. That was his one weakness. He needed to down a thing of water before he could do anything.
To his luck, other kids started to walk out too, so he could go ask around. Multiple times he did until finally one kid with a freaking tail handed him some.
"Here you go. Hey, I've seen you. Weren't you the one with that water quirk?" He asked, in a nice tone, so Aki knew he didn't have anything to worry about. At least, not physically.
"Um, hi, yeah that's me. I'm 七海秋(Aki Nanami) by the way."
"I'm 尾白猿夫(Mashirao Ojiro). Nice to meet you. I hope to see you at UA!"
"Heh, heh, me too." Aki walked away so that he wouldn't see him chug it. They've called his chugging skills unnatural and kind of cruel.
Now he had enough strength to go home. It didn't take him long, about ten minutes. His mom wasn't home yet, no surprise there. She usually stayed up way too late at the club. He had no idea what she was doing there, and he had no intention of knowing.
All he knew is that he needed to get some sleep. And so that's what he did.
