It's a new day. Aki had his head on his desk, spacing out, as all the other students in class 1-A talked about random stuff. Iida, Deku, and Uraraka were in the corner of the room, saying something about how excited they are for the Sports Festival that's coming up.
A knock on the classroom door ceased the chit chat. Aki lifted his head to see what the silence was about. He looked over at where the knock came from, where Iida had opened the door to see a bunch of students, probably all the first years, grouped around the door.
Izuku and Uraraka gasped. "Why the heck are you all here?" Uraraka yelled, her voice barely being heard over all the commotion.
"Do you students have some sort of business with our class?"Asked Iida, his voice was even more quiet. Probably only the first row of students heard him.
"Why are you blocking our doorway?" Chimed in Mineta as he came running in. "I won't let you hold us hostage!"
Bakugo got up from his seat and strided to the front of the classroom. "They're scouting out the competition, idiots. We're the class that survived a real villain attack. They wanted to see us with their own eyes." He took a look around at all the students, glaring at each and every one of them. "At least now you know what a future pro looks like. Now move it, extras!" He barked, his voice filled with frustration.
Aki stood up from his spot, walking to stand next to Iida.
"So this is class 1-A." A calm voice was heard from the crowd. "I heard you guys were impressive." A figure was moving throughout the crowd, closer to the door. "But you just sound like an ass. Is everyone in the hero course delusional or just you?" A guy with wild, purple hair, sleepy narrow eyes and a small mouth came into view. He was looking down and rubbing the back of his head. "How sad to come here and find a bunch of egomaniacs." He looked up, hand moved down to rest on the back of his neck.
Aki admitted, he stared. Someone with such a calm yet insulting demeanor was new to him. His feat inched closer, until soon he was standing right next to Bakugo. Purple-messy hair looked at him right in the eyes. Aki froze. His glare was almost icy, like Todoroki, yet it showed tiredness and it told a story that Aki did not yet understand.
"I wanted to be in the hero course. But like many others here I was forced to choose a different track. Such is life." He shifted his gaze from Aki to Bakugo, who scoffed in response. "I didn't cut it the first time around. But I have another chance. If any of us do well in the sports festival, the teachers can decide to transfer us to the hero course. That means they'll have to transfer people out to make room." Aki's eyes went wide. As much as he would rather be doing something else, he worked hard for this spot in this class! He wasn't about to just give it up!
Purple-messy hair's eyes shifted once again, but this time it was to the side, not looking at anyone. "Scouting the competition? Maybe some of my peers are, but I'm here to let you know that if you don't bring your very best, I'll steal your spot right from under you. Consider this a declaration of war" He glared at Bakugo again. Who is this guy? Aki tilted his head in confusion.
Before the guy could say anything else though, a man announcing that he was from Class 1-B came through asking if they had really fought villains. Before anyone could answer, he just figured that everyone was just like Bakugo, a bunch of brats who think we're better than them. Crap, now everyone hates us! Bakugo blinked and turned to walk through the people, bumping into Aki on the way. Aki glared at him before turning his attention back on the purple-messy hair guy. After Bakugo walked off, he glanced at Aki once more. There was a moment of silence before the tip of his lips curled up and he walked away, leaving Aki in so much confusion.
