All-Might immediately ran towards the nomu, striking punch after punch at the monster. It didn't seem to do much, though. I think I heard Shigaraki say earlier that he had shock absorbtion.
The fight felt like it lasted for several hours when in reality, it probably only lasted for a couple of minutes. It ended with All-Might punching the creature out of the building, landing who knows where. It was done. The fight was over. The symbol of peace has once again prevailed.
Shigaraki did not look too happy about that. He was practically quaking with fear. He started to vigorously scratch his neck again while talking to Kurogiri.
Meanwhile, around Aki, Todoroki, Deku, Kirishima, and even Bakugo came to watch the fight. Deku said that he would try to get Aizawa-sensei to a hospital as soon as extra help arrived. Just All-Might was not enough. They would need more than that to get everyone away safely.
Speaking of which, I wonder how everyone else is doing. I hope they are all okay.
"Man," Bakugo started to talk, "this is...intense."
"As I expected," Todoroki looked off into the distance beside Aki. "There's no reason for us to fight now. He'll handle this."
"Come on Midoriya-san and Nanami-san. We should regroup with the other guys." Kirishima started to walk back, grabbing Bakugo along with him. However, Midoriya stayed, so Kirishima looked back at him, not saying anything and just stood there, watching the scene like the rest of us.
Aki couldn't really hear what they were talking about, but it looked as if Kurogiri was reassuring Shigaraki, that the villains they brought were starting to recover, that All-Might had weakened and that they had a few minutes before reinforcements arrived. Shigaraki seemed to think it all over.
Aki heard footsteps behind her. She, Kirishima, and Bakugo turned, only to see villains start to approach them.
"I think All-Might can hold his own against those two main guys." Kirishima used his quirk to harden his arms. "Let's make sure these dudes don't hurt anybody else."
Midoriya, however, didn't even glance back. He was still focused on the villains and All-Might in front of them. Todoroki beckoned him to come and help, but Midoriya continued to do nothing but stare and watch.
Aki started to turn back around and ready herself for the fight, but she suddenly heard footsteps running behind her. It was Shigaraki running towards All-Might. Aki turned to the boys who were getting ready to fight and said "I'm going to watch with Midoriya, you know, to make sure nothing bad happens."
Kirishima nodded at her, and the group of three charged at the villains. Ignoring the sounds of the fight behind her, Aki stood and watched as Kurogiri started to charge at All-Might as well. It seemed like he could win this, but Aki felt like he would've made a move already if he was going to.
Suddenly, next to Aki, Deku jumped up into the air, fist ready, and tried to attack Kurogiri. As he was about to punch him, Shigaraki reached his hand through the purple mist.
"No!" Aki shouted as she summoned water from out of her hands at...who? Do I save Deku and push him away, or do I knock Shigaraki out so he can't touch him? What do I do? Why am I hesitating again? Come on, Aki fight! Save Deku! The water flew towards Deku and knocked him away. At the same time, a gunshot was fired and hit Shigaraki's hand, knocking him down. It seemed as if help had finally arrived.
Aki put down Deku right next to her. "Are you alright? You could've gotten killed, why'd you do that?" His legs twisted in a weird way, just like they did at the entrance exams. "Your legs are broken again. Why'd you do that? Come on Deku, be smarter!" I can't believe I'm scolding my friend. I sound like mom.
"I'm sorry, Nanami-san." Aki just shook her head and made Deku float using water, bringing him to wear it seemed like the rest of the class was. Kirishima, Bakugo, and Todoroki followed behind her.
Once they got up to the entrance, it looked like all the heroes UA had were there. They had almost gotten every single villain too. The fight was over. Aki looked around and saw no sign of Shigaraki. He must've gotten away, along with Kurogiri. That's bad. They seemed like they were in charge of this attack and both of their quirks seemed super strong. If they got away, there's a chance they might try to attack again another time.
Once the students got back to the main campus, they were pressed by the cops for more information on the attack. After that, life seemed to return to normal. Everyone was chatting with each other.
All Aki was doing was thinking about Aizawa-sensei and her brother. Apparently Aizawa had serious injuries, but he would live after recovery.
As for Toru, well the police never found him and assumed that he had gotten away. Also bad. His quirk...unless you've experienced it, you don't know how terrifying it really is.
The day was finally over. Aki looked up at the red and orange of the sunset, feeling exhausted. So much had happened in one day. The attack was one form of exhaustion but talking with strangers about an event you don't really want to recall is another thing.
Aki would never forget what had happened and was intrigued to find out what she would get into next.
