It was the next day. Aki got dressed in a male uniform for the day. He was excited to be able to talk to Aizawa-sensei about something.
His plan was to go chat with him before his English class started, so he had to get up pretty early. He went as fast as possible in the direction of the school, and when he got there, the only one there was a deflated All-Might and Aizawa-sensei. At least that he could see. There might be more teachers in the building.
"Hello, Aizawa-sensei. Hey Small-Might." He smirked.
"Kid! What are you- hey I'm not small!" He immediately grew back into the regular All-Might. "I am not small!" He said, with a smile, as usual.
"Hello, Nanami-san. Why are you here so early?" Aizawa never seemed to break his cold stare and frown. Aki did appreciate him calling him 'san'.
"I needed to chat with you about something."
"Alright. All-Might?"
"Right, right, I'll go." He walked away, and Aki waited to chat when he couldn't see him anymore.
"Aizawa-sensei have you ever heard the word 'ゴーストフレーム.'"
"Have I-" His eyes widened. "You're that villains...Nanami..." He seemed at a loss for words.
"He told me everything. I haven't heard from him in four years, and then he decides to text me...I couldn't help but talk to him. Turns out he knew you, and he told me why. Apparently he had the same gut feeling about you that I did." Aki couldn't believe what he was saying. To a teacher too! But it had to be said at some point. Besides, Aki really wanted to know everything. "He told me you would tell me everything."
"Yes, he did say that. Let me a few questions first. Number one, what is your brother's name."
"七海取る(Toru Nanami)."
"Alright. How did you know it was him?"
Aki sighed. "I just, it sounded like him. His contact name in my phone was brother, as well, and he said a couple of things only he and I would know.""Like what?" Aizawa said, not even blinking.
"Well, he knew my dead name, my chosen name, and the fact that my mom hates who I am.""I see. Next question, who was your mother?"
"七海空(Sora Nanami). That's not her real name though. It's just what she chose for herself when she moved to Japan in her early twenties before she had me or Toru. Her real name is Sky Taylor. It's western because she came from America."
"Sky Taylor, huh? Does anyone else know that name?"
"The only other person besides me that knows that name is supposedly my father. Look, my brother said if I told you that word, you would tell me everything."
"Fine. I suppose I will now. Your brother isn't rational, though. What if I wouldn't tell you anything? That night is very blurry...that reminds me, what is your brother's quirk?"
"Fine, but this is the last question. It's a memory erasure. He can take away or replace any memory, just by looking at them" I am sick of this shit. I want to know! But Aki knew not to pressure a man like this. He might not tell him anything.
"Makes sense. Fine, I'll tell you everything. I have only loved one person in my life. Remember, don't go telling other kids this. She had sparkly blue eyes, strawberry-blond hair, and a kind smile. She would always poke fun at me, but I didn't mind. I never knew Sora Nanami. But the women I did know...well we got very close. I didn't even know she had the first kid until she told me she was expecting another one.
"I am still ashamed to this day how out of hand this became. I immediately stopped seeing her. However, I am glad that I get to see her every day now, even if it is just in spirit. Sky Taylor. That was the name of the woman I loved. Now, look at what I have here. Another problem child to take care of." With that he walked away, leaving Aki confused and befuddled.
First off, I'm a problem child? Secondly, my father, I-I finally know him now. Although I suppose I wanted something more like "Oh wow, you're my long lost child! I miss you so much!" What am I saying. Aizawa-sensei would never do that. This is the reaction that I should've expected.
Aki made his way towards the school. He was looking down and wasn't paying attention, so he walked right into someone.
"Woah, hey, look out!" Aki looked up to see a man about his height, with scraggly white hair, striking grey eyes, and a kind smile that reassured him.
Aki blushed. "I'm sorry! I wasn't paying attention. I'll just be on my way now..." Aki started to continue, but the man's hand pulled him back around.
"Well, now I'm curious. What are you doing here so early?"
"I could ask you the same thing," Aki remarked, not missing a beat.
He laughed. "Fair, fair. One of my brothers set my alarm too early, and that made me get here at like, five in the morning. Now it's your turn."
"I wanted to ask my teacher something."
"Ask them what? Come on, I want to know!" He smiled as if this was the first time somebody put up with him. Aki didn't mind him, though. He thought it was nice that someone actually wanted to know what was going on.
"I don't even know you!"
"My name's 炎白い(Shiroi Hono). Now you know me!"
"Well, this certainly isn't fair. Just because I know your name doesn't mean I actually know you!"
"I am 炎白い(Shiroi Hono). I am in Class 1-B for heroes. My quirk is ghost flame, I can produce an invisible flame that can't be put out by water from my hands. I consider myself to be very funny. Now you know me, and you can tell me!"
Aki laughed. He had never met someone like this, and he blushed, "Fine. I was asking him what we were going to be doing today. I didn't get a response, of course, that's just how Aizawa-sensei is."
"Ha! I know, I accidentally bumped into him on the way here, and he was not pleased about it!"
"I suppose I should tell you about me then. I'm 七海秋(Aki Nanami). I'm in Class 1-A for heroes. My quirk is that I can create and control water."
"That's a super cool quirk!" There was suddenly a bunch of students walking through them. "Well, I guess it's time for me to head to class. See you later!"
"Farewell," What the hell was that? How did I talk to another human being?
In UA high school, there are normal classes, like English, in the morning, which Aki was heading towards now. English was taught by the pro-hero Present Mic, the same one in the entrance exams. Aki wasn't bad at English, but he still found Mic annoying at times.
Halfway through the day, we have lunch, and Aki usually sits with Deku, Uraraka, Iida, and Asui, who said her friends call her Tsu.
"Have you guys heard of a guy named 炎白い(Shiroi Hono)? I ran into him on the way here."
Tsu chimed in saying, "Kero, I think I've heard of him. He's in Class 1-B, right?"
"Yeah, that's him, he seemed really nice."
Everyone just nodded at Aki, then continued eating.
Finally, it was time for the hero course, the moment everyone's been waiting for.
