Aki was stunned. She had received an email not too long ago from All Might himself. It was saying that All Might was going to be teaching there, at UA high.

All Might was the number one superhero in the world. You couldn't be a normal being without being his fan at some point in your life. Aki went through that stage when she was three or four. She would always dress up as him, say his lines, and she wanted to be a hero just like him. Those days were so embarrassing. These days, she just looked up to him. Like 'props dude, you did a really good job yay'. Aki was half American, on her mother's side. Her mom moved to Japan for a better life, so she knew quite a bit of English. One of All Might's phrases was naming cities and states from America and saying スマッシュ(Sumasshu)(Smash) afterward. Kinda weird, but Aki wasn't judging.

She was more focused on the other half of the letter.

水海秋(Mizu Nanami) is admitted into Class 1-A UA high with forty-seven villain points and fifteen rescue points!

She nearly fell over. Well, I was NOT expecting this! She ran to go tell her mom the news, then remembered she was sleeping from another late night out. Instead, she went to go take a walk. There was a beach nearby, however it was always filled with trash and stuff. But no matter, it was a beach. Once she got past the trash, she should be able to go in the water.

She got dressed in a simple white robe and sandals that were her mom's from the time that she lived in America. They fit Aki, so she secretly started wearing them from now and then.

When she got to the beach she gasped. It had been completely cleared of trash and gunk and looked almost sparkling. It took her a minute to realize the chatting that was going on a few feet away. She peeked over the wall and saw Midoriya chatting with a strange man with hollow cheeks and sunken eyes. She couldn't make out exactly what they were saying, but it was something along the line about what Deku had done at the exams, and that he...passed? There is no way. Deku? Passed? In a moment of realization, she remembered what All Might showed her in the email. The leader board, she remembered it having Midoriya's name on it, but she wasn't sure.

Despite not wanting to, she had to go confront the two. As she got closer, she could make out what the strange man was saying.

"...you'll learn how to control your output. Then you'll be able to adjust exactly just how much pow- um..." He stared directly at her. Crap, wait, I knew this was going to happen. Duh, I was going to confront him!

"Hi, um I'm Aki, um hey Midoriya-san, um hi." I am going to die. Deku looked really confused, and the strange man looked aggravated. "I'm sorry. Should I go?"

"No wait," the man said. "First off, I recognize you. Nanami, right? Mizu Nanami?"

I cut him off before he could say any more. "Only my mom calls me Mizu. Please, call me Aki. It's written with the kanji for autumn."

"Okay, Aki Nanami. The boy-"

Once again, cutting him off, "Girl, tonight actually."

"... the girl who has control over water. You got accepted into UA right?"

"Yes sir," She had a feeling that she needed to respect this man. Wait, how did he know about me? She shook those thoughts off. He'd obviously seen her around or something.

"Just as I thought. How much did you hear of this conversation, Aki?"

"You were talking about output or something, and adjusting power, maybe. I didn't hear that much. I just saw Midoriya and wanted to say hi."

"Are you sure that was all you heard?" His face was getting more serious by the second. Aki felt like she was going to be in big trouble if she lied. Luckily, she was never much of a liar.

"I am positive. Were you guys talking about something secret?"

This time it was Deku's turn to chime in, "N-not at all!"

"Alright," She sighed, "you were definitely talking about something I'm not supposed to know. But, I have no interest."

"That's a relief," the man said, frowning at Midoriya.

"Before I go, who are you, exactly? Midoriya-sans father?"

The man-made a strange combination of laughing, choking, and grunting. "In a way."

"In a way? That's a yes or no question!"

Midoriya looked between the two. "Um, can we tell her? I trust her, really. She's a good person and she seems like the type to keep a secret." The man frowned at him. "At least tell her who you are."

"Fine, young-Midoriya. But only because you trust her." He turned to me, "Young-Nanami, I am the figure, the number one hero..." suddenly the man started to transform. He grew muscles and his hair became combed back. He grew into an idol that is recognized across the globe. All Might. "All Might!" He finishes off.

Aki couldn't help but gasp. The number one hero...was a skinny man? What kind of secret is that? "Wow. Alright. That's a surprise. Midoriya-san, I now see you in a different way. How in the world did you become friends with him?"

He laughed nervously, "That's a whole other story. Maybe I'll tell it to you some time."

"Oh, right, congrats on getting into U.A, Midoriya-san! That new quirk of yours is really awesome! Oh, and All Might, I guess this explains why you knew I was in U.A."

"Right, I am now a teacher there. I will be excited to see you both there," He went back into his skinny-might form, and started to walk away. Midoriya looked at him and started to follow, but before he did, he looked back at Aki.

She said to him, "I suppose I should share one of my secrets to you in return." He stayed silent. "Here's the thing, I actually don't want to be a hero. The reason behind why I am trying anyway is because of my brother." Deku's eyes fluttered, a sign of confusion. Aki didn't care if he was confused, she would explain it all later, just that he was listening. And he was. "My mom really wanted my brother to be a hero, because of his quirk. He could erase the memory of anyone, and erase it of anything. My mom doesn't even remember him because of it. I only remember him because he said he wanted somebody to remember the truth. I think he did it because he actually loved me." Pause. "...he ran off and became a villain, of course. Memory erase is a bad quirk for a hero. I haven't heard of him since."Aki looked aside, ashamed of something.

There was a moment of silence between the two. "Well," Aki said, continuing. "I could just leave too. But something is making me stay and actually go here, to UA, I mean. Because I want to watch people like you, and Uraraka, people who actually help people without a second thought become a hero. Those are the true heroes. You, Midoriya-san, will become one of the greatest heroes in the world. At least I hope you do!" Aki was done rambling. She had a sore throat and needed some water. So she turned back towards her house.

Only after she got in did she realize that she left Deku behind, confused, and all.
