This Town - Logicality

Logan was a traveling businessman, and often left on trips for three or four days. That was alright with his husband, Patton.

But this time Logan was supposed to be gone for an entire week, and it was the fifth day. Logan had never been gone that long before.

So he convinced his boss to let him come home a couple of days early, and was going to surprise his boyfriend with a movie night. He just had to find said boyfriend first.

It wasn't too hard, Patton was almost always in their shared room. Logan snuck over, nodding to himself when he heard the small sniffles from within the bedroom. It was difficult for him to not rush in and reassure his love, but he kept his resolve and went back to the living room.

Once in his new location, he began gathering blankets and spare pillows, using them to build a pillow fort on the couch. He then opened the DVD case for Big Hero 6, which they would always watch once Logan came home.

Once the living room was set up, Logan looked around. Patton still had not emerged from his room, which it was now time to change. Logan began to sing.

There was a shuffling of feet from down the hall, presumably Patton having heard the song and coming to investigate. Logan smiled at this and sang a bit louder.

When Logan was done, his beloved was in front of him, eyes sparkling with tears. "Y-you came home early..." he managed to say, to which Logan nodded. There was a moment of pause before Patton ran forward and wrapped his arms around his husband, the hug quickly being reciprocated.

The two stayed in each other's arms for a few moments before Logan spoke up. "Let's cuddle and watch Big Hero 6?" he offered, to which Patton nodded.

"As long as I get to spend time with you." Logan smiled and nodded, carrying his love to the couch and sitting inside of the carefully crafted pillow fort. The remote was already there, as well as a package of gummy bears that Logan had bought on the drive home.

The two snuggles and watched their movie, both of them catching up on the cuddles they had missed. And as much fun as Logan had, he vowed to never leave his dearest alone for that long ever again.
