Vampire!Virgil. Analogical. That is all I have to say.

So you kinda left this one up to a lot of interpretation for me, so I'll do my best.

Virgil looked at himself in the mirror. His dark brown hair contrasted his pale skin. Dark gray eyes seemed to suck in the bathroom light above him. His outfit was unassuming enough, a black-and-gray plaid hoodie with back jeans and gray sneakers, but there was one thing that made him stand out. His fangs.

Two sharp fangs were placed where canine teeth would be on a normal human. But Virgil wasn't normal, or a human. He was a vampire. And not a normal vampire, either. He was a hybrid, meaning he needed blood, but he still aged and matured like a human being would.

Virgil hated it. Why couldn't he just find another vampire to fully turn him so he wouldn't have to deal with the stresscase known to humans as puberty?

Before he could ponder it further, the door opened. Virgil hid his fangs and poked his head out of the door to his room. His roommate, Logan Hunter, was setting their things down. They looked over and saw him. "Ah, Virgil. Salutations."

Virgil smiled to himself. Logan's customary greeting was always so formal, it was so endearing! But Virgil had to stay on guard. Logan's family were monster hunters, and if they found out who he was, it would be game over.

"Hey, Lo," Virgil replied. "How was class?"

"Satisfactory. And I see you skipped again?"

"Hey! Showing up late for class is a lot more stressful than just skipping."

Logan sighed and adjusted their glasses. "Virgil, this isn't healthy. If you turn this into a habit, it will greatly hinder you when you go to college."

"You're assuming I survive that long."

Logan sighed again. "Virgil. We've talked about this. You are not allowed to kill yourself as long as I live with you."

While I appreciate the sentiment, that's not what I meant. "Well, that still leaves me summer break."

"VIRGIL." The hybrid reeled back. Logan never used a loud voice. They were always soft-spoken. "I care about you too much to allow you to die by your own causes. Or mine."

Virgil rolled his eyes and went back into his room, but not before Logan could add one last bit of information:

"Or my family's."
