⭐Chapter 12: Mystery People

The gang's mouths hung wide open as they saw Gloves standing in the front door, covered in bloody bites and scratches, but a grin on his face.

"What happened?!" Nana screamed, dashing over towards him.

"I defeated him!" Gloves laughed. "I DID IT! But uh... He kinda, um..." he found himself unable to finish as Nana started tending to his leg.

"He what?" Rider stood up.

Hachi went over to help Nana.

"I...think I might've commit a murder," Gloves sighed. "I stabbed him in the head with this and left him."

Gloves held up the bloody fangtooth fang.

"WHAT?!" the squidbeak shrieked.

Well, except for Vintage and Skull. Rider just stared.

"YOU COMMIT MURDER?!" Hachi screamed.

"WHO KNOWS WHAT THE IDOLS ARE GONNA SAY IF THEY FIND OUT!" Nana cried.

"Who said they had to find out?" Gloves asked nervously. Crap, perhaps his surge of bravery got to him a little too much...

"Good job, I'm proud of you. Can't believe I let Amaryllis get away, though..." Vintage muttered.

"Woah Vintage, you took her down?!" Gloves gasped.

"I wish I could've killed her. I left a gaping mark in her shell though, so if any of you want to have another hand at cracking that thing open, be my guest," Vintage replied nonchalantly.

"Well, congrats! We'll be sure to get her next time!" Gloves cheered.

Skull stared at Vintage and couldn't help but smile a little. He was glad the group was making progress.

"So, Gloves, I have a question. Did you flare up with a power that enhanced your movements?" Goggles asked.

Gloves nodded. "Yeah, I remembered what you guys said about it."

"Wow! First Vintage and despair, now yours! What's your trait?" Goggles asked excitedly.

Gloves thought for a moment.

"Bravery. That's my heroic trait. I practically announced it myself. Once I realized that Hessomight was a normal foe, I got past him with ease," he smiled.

"Did you kick his-"

"Yes Vintage, I'm surprised that worked. I kicked down on his head and like...80% of his teeth cracked or shattered," Gloves replied.

"Good."

Rider sighed but smiled, "Nice work, Gloves. Anyway, while you guys were out, we think we found what the Luminous 7 are after."

He pulled out his phone, and typed in something. He turned it towards Gloves and Vintage.

"These."

On his phone was a picture of seven crystals that were all the different colours of the rainbow. There seemed to be an image below of even more colored crystals, but those ones weren't the main focus as of now.

"That's right. That's gotta be right! I went to find that orange one and sure enough, I found Hessomight there!" Gloves exclaimed.

Rider tapped on the image and read out the article it was from. "It says they're the Seven Energy Crystals. Literal, wouldn't you say? Each of them can absorb, store and release a different kind of energy. There's the Heat Crystal, which we handed back in, the Sound Crystal, which is safe now, the Electrical Crystal, the Chemical Crystal, the Hydro Crystal, the Mechanical Crystal, and the Nuclear Crystal. They say that they've lost their power now, but they've got a high value. That is why they're stored all over Nexus Laser City. Now if my calculations are correct, they should be going after the Electrical Crystal, which seems to be located in... The Nexus Laser shopping mall..."
