"Jack, Blake, meet me in my office." Mr. Kuzama came over the intercom.
Jack and Blake were in their room, discussing ways to handle their next mission until they heard the announcement. "Damn, that's the first..." Blake mumbled.
"Yeah, no kidding." Jack slammed the book he was skimming through on the table.
The boys started to run up the stairs to the head of the office Sat. By the time they reached the office, they were panting. Jack and Blake held up a finger to let the officers know that they needed a moment to breathe before the door opened.
Once they were ready, the officers opened the door and in they walked. Mr. Kuzama was waiting at his desk with two chairs sitting in front of him. The two boys stood in a perfect position until they had the "okay" to sit.
"Okay. The reason I called you two here was to make changes. You both will be running your own group. This means you will be taking over the Guild I have in another area. You will be sent orders every month that must be handled by the men in that facility," Mr. Kuzama explained.
"Wait, wait, wait. Where exactly are we going? And, why us? Will we be able to take part in the mission or are we going to be stuck in an office all day, every day?" Blake panicked.
"Well, you two are amazing in the field! You two have finished the most missions in one month! If it weren't for you two, we would still be searching for Bert, who stole a year's worth of supplies from our storage house. You will have to spend your time in the office more than on missions. Occasionally, you will be granted permission on the missions, but as of now, no. You will have to stay in protected areas." Mr. Kuzama smiled as he leaned back in his chair and propped his feet on the desk.
"You didn't answer the question. Where will we be moved to?" Jack asked in an irritated tone.
"You know how I visit that place in Florida a lot? That's where you will be sent. I know it is a long way away, but I have noticed something that is happening, Mr. Avery. . ." Mr. Kuzama trailed off.
"And that is, Sir?"
"I recall telling you that you would be moved to a new location if you ever got your cover blown, you would be relocated. Well, as it has come to my attention, you have been associating with Mr. Zach Herron-"
"But, he doesn't know who I am! He thinks-"
"Let me finish, General." Mr. Kuzama removed his feet from the desk and sat straight up. "And, it has come to my attention that Mr. Corbyn Besson's husband, Mr. Daniel Besson, knows who you are. He confronted you in plain sight if I recall?" Jack's eyes widened.
Jack lost all of his senses and wanted nothing more than to know if Zach was alright. "Is he alright? Did you do anything to him?" Jack asked in a cold tone.
"Hmm?" Mr. Kuzama questioned.
"Did you or did you not hurt him?" Jack's voice became louder and angrier by the second.
"Of course not. We didn't touch any of them. We wouldn't do that. But, I have a special mission for the both of you." Mr. Kuzama smirked.
