Chapter 17
*The Next day*
Maia's POV
I had a better sleep than I did last night. I slept really well I didn't wan to wake up. I slowly opened my eyes. I checked the time on the wall which was 9am. Eve was coming at 9.30am so that gave me enough time to eat breakfast. I got breakfast at 9.05am. I got my computer and logged onto Facebook. I saw I had a message from Luke and Austin. I opened Lukes first.
It's fine. I understand. Let me know when you've made a decision xxxxx
I then opened Austin's message.
Hey I might be later than yesterday as my parents are being annoying but I will still see you xxxxxxx
I didn't reply to Austin's message either. I closed my laptop and put it on the side. Eve walked into my room then.
"Hey" she said.
"Hey, look at this Facebook message Luke sen't to me. I said and showed her the message on my phone"
"Awww that's so sweet! You should go out with him. He's cares about you and you can see that. He's sweeter than Austin is" She said.
"Austin got me flowers yesterday and we had a chat. It was nice to talk to him as well. Ugh I don't know what to do" I said. "Austin is great but Luke is too. What would you do if you were in my position?" I said.
"Google it" She said and we both chuckled.
"No! Apart from that" I said.
"I would figure out which one I want to see more and which one I think about more" she said.
"Okay. I think I know which one it is. I definatly want to see him more and I think about him more than the other one!" I said. "But then again I think about them both the same" I said.
"Okay, let me get a sheet of paper" she said.
"Okay, there's one on the side with a pen"
"Which one treats you better?" she asked me.
"Luke" I said.
"What are the positives of each one?" She said.
"Luke: funny, kind, always there for me, looks nice, plays the guitar, nice personality, works out at the gym, reliable. Austin: nice, always there for me, nice personality, likes sports, plays the guitar, caring, kind" I said.
"I counted more for Luke" she said.
"Wait. I know which one to go for but I'm telling you yet. I need to tell both of them together otherwise it's not fair" I said.
"When are you going to do that?" She said.
"Soon, when they're bth together" I said.
"Okay. It's nearly time until the doctor comes with your chemo" she said. Just then the doctor came in.
"Hi, did you get a better sleep last night?" He asked me.
"I have your chemo tablets here. You have to take two 3 times a day. They will make you tired and your hair will fall out but they will work. We are going to keep you in until tomorrow just so that we can keep an eye on you" he said. (A/N I have no idea how many tablets they take a day, that's a guess)
"That's fine" I said. He gave me the tablets and I took two with some water that Eve got for me and put it next to my bed.
"Thank you" I said. It's alright. I could already feel the affect of the chemo taking place. My eyes suddenly felt really heavy and I just needed to sleep.
"Sorry the chemo is already taking effect, I need to sleep" I said.
"It's alright, I will go. Text me when you wake up"
"Yeah I will do" I whispered. I suddenly fell into a deep sleep.
*2 hours later*
I woke up and Luke was at the side of my bed.
"Hey sorry I didn't wake you up, you looked really peaceful sleeping" he said.
"It's alright, I had my chemo tablets and they took effect really quickly" I said.
"It's alright" he said.
"Good. When you and Austin are in the same room I need to tell you both something" I said.
"Okay. Why can't you tell me now?" He said.
"I can't" I said.
"Okay, well we can come in tomorrow morning?" He suggested.
"Yeah sure. I shoud be going home tomorrow but I will be here in the morning" I said.
"I can stay and give you a lift if you like?" He offered.
"Yeah that would be great thank you" I said.
"Good. Got up to anything much, instead of seeing me and waiting for an answer?" I asked.
"Nope just focusing of school mainly. I come and see you in my free lessons" he said.
"I feel like I missed loads of school" I said.
"That's because you have" he joked.
"Shut up" I said. He chuckled and so did I.
"Okay, you haven't missed that much. The teachers will catch you up when you get back, if you want to go back to school?" He said.
"Of course I want to go back to school, don't be silly" I said. He smiled.
"I'm not being silly!" He argued.
"Wanna bet?" I joked.
"Yeah" he joked back.
"It's nice hanging out with you" I randomly said.
"Yeah, it's nice just me and you"
"Yeah" I said.
"Anyway I should go. I will text Austin and get him to come tomorrow morning. I will see you tomorrow" He said and kissed me softly on the lips.
"See you later" I said before he walked out of the room.
"I've made my decision" I whispered to myself.
