FLASHBACK

Jimin was out running.

It was the summer holidays, the weather was perfect and he decided to run a new path, to an area he had never been before.

He ran along a lake, until he came up to a fence. He was annoyed. His plan was to run around the lake and the fence was in his way. He looked left and right. Then he climbed over.

On the other side he followed a path a bit further up the slope. There was a huge house some way away, but he didn't see any people.

Suddenly he heard a scream and a splash. Then a slightly muffled call for help.

Jimin changed directions, increased his pace and ran fast towards the water, towards the scream.

Arriving at the water's edge he immediately grasped what was wrong. An empty boat. And a young man in the water, struggling to keep his head above the surface.

Jimin ran out onto a pier and dived in at the same time as the guy started to sink. Jimin couldn't see him anymore. But Jimin was a good swimmer and quickly reached the place where he last saw him. He dived down, keeping his eyes open but seeing nothing.

Jimin had to get up for air, but dived back down again deeper and this time he saw a hand.

He grabbed for the wrist to get a good enough grip to pull the guy up towards the surface.

Even with a good grip, it was a tough task. He had to use all his strength and still he almost gave up for lack of air. But just as he thought he couldn't do it anymore they reached the surface.

Making sure the head and shoulders of the guy was above water, Jimin managed to swim to the shore, where he pulled him up onto steady ground.

Jimin noticed he was handsome, about Jimin's own age, with black hair, a straight nose and pink lips.

His wet hair hung down over his closed eyes and his soaked clothes cling tight to his fit, slim body.

Then Jimin recognised him. Hoseok. Aka J-Hope. The always so cool leader of the meanest gang in school.

He didn't look so cool now.

Jimin tried desperately to feel a pulse on the side of his neck, but there was nothing.

And he wasn't breathing.

"Fuck, was I too late?" Jimin mumbled.

He hurriedly took his phone out of his pocket to call 911, but the phone was totally dead. It wasn't waterproof, obviously.

Jimin refused to give up though, after all that hard work bringing Hoseok out of the water.

He remembered the CPR he had learnt in school.

He hesitated for half a second, feeling slightly self conscious looking at Hoseok's pink lips and handsome features. Then he decidedly bent over Hoseok, put his lips to his and started to give him rescue breaths, pinching his nose and tilting his head backwards.

Then the CPR to try to get the heart started. 1, 2, 3 ... 29, 30.

He repeated the sequence.

When he put his lips to Hoseok's for the third time, the young man suddenly twitched and inhaled.

Jimin pulled back. Hoseok drew a breath of his own and immediately started coughing heavily.
