I wish I knew

The promise

The vacation was over, the girls came back to Miami and got back to their life and work.

Kami was at the gym that day working, when it was over she got ready to leave the club close the door and make sure no one was still there.. it was 7pm she had to close early because it's a family dinner that night.
She was heading out when she finds her father waiting for her outside "papa! Hey what are you doing here?" She asked hugging him "well just like the old days" he looked at her "oh papa you still remember" "of course, I used to walk you to the club when you go and when you're done too" "even when it was snowing you did" they laughed at the memories.

Eda back than was 4years old when her father offered her to join the club and she gave him a promise that she will finish the path and be the best, which she kept her promise and now she is shining like a star in his bright years.. they were walking side to side Eda was holding hands with her father, they didn't take the car they wanted to see the city around them with open eyes.. they were about to cross the street and the lights were green for the Walker and red for the drivers .. but out of the blue a car came in hurry didn't Respect the red light and kami was face to face with death when her father pushed her out of the way and she fell on the ground hitting her head on the ground, she tried to get up and couldn't see well or foucs "papa!" Shit my head.. the last thing she see is her father on the ground and the sight of the blood was the trauma for her.. she ran to him "DAD! NO NO ..! DAD PLEASE,, look at me" she yelled "HELP HELP ME SOMEONE .. CALL 911" the people started to gather around her and she looked around to see the car that hit her father is was blue but she didn't see the board.. when the car driver ran away, she couldn't do anything just to hold her father close to her and cry "father please don't leave me alone don't die..", she lost the sensation of anything around her all she hears is people noise everywhere.. and she didn't feel her body her head was bleeding and the next thing she was on the ground passed out.

The people around there called an ambulance took both of the father and his daughter to the hospital, when kami woke up with her girlfriend next to her "where am I!.. why are you here" "hey.. hey!" Eda said trying to calm her down "Dad! Where is papa! It .. it was a car it hit the .. where is he!!" Kami said getting out of bed before she lost balance her girl held her.. she got out of the room to see her mother crying her eyes out and her brother holding her.. Niya was there too "MOM! Where is dad!.." she said with tears in her eyes.. "no!.. no don't just don't tell me.." Eda felt her heart ripping apart when Niya said "I'm so sorry kami.. he's gone" .

Kami's knees didn't have much strength to keep her standing.. she fell on the ground zoning out.. crying in silence like she wasn't there .. she didn't know what that was or how everything happened.. she didn't belive that her Father is dead..

Kami and her father were so close to each other.. since she was a child, her was there for her and gave her the best life lessons.. he made her smile and encouraged her trough her hardest times.. she was her father's princess, they had so many sweet memories together.. she always felt safe around him like she can do anything.. and she always worked hard enough to make him proud, now that he is gone she didn't know what life is anymore like a piece of her heart went missing, darkness was filtering into her life slowly.

Eda and Niya didn't leave her side at all, Niya promised kami that she will find who ever caused this pain to her and that he will get what he deserves.

Next day Kami had to stand tall and to say goodbye to her father.. she didn't sleep that night no one did, her mom was in so much pain, and her brother has to be the man of the house now.. all the sweet words were heard about Mr Louther, how good he was and how much helped he offered to people.. he was loved everywhere, when it was Kami's turn to say her words.. she got up .. Eda was looking at her with tears.. "I always knew this day will come.. that I will lose my family one day but I didn't expect it to be this way or this hard, he didn't even say goodbye and I didn't get the chance to" she said trying to hold on, "so I'm gonna tell one of the stories he used to read for me before bed and this was our favorite line of them all *and although the sky was dark, angry and sad, crying rain out of the clouds, the sun had to come out at the end of the storm, no matter how dark it gets it must end and be the beginning of a new day, a new start".

Kami cried so much that day, untill she took a sleeping pill before she completely lose it.

Eda spent the night with her when Niya was working on solving the case.

She was watching the girl sleeping but tears falling of her eyes slowly..she was still in pain and if anyone can understand what that is, it's Eda.. she knows this kind of pain and wanted to help her get trough this. She was cuddling her rubbing her back and playing with her hair when she heard "it hurts.." "I know baby" "I miss him already" she said crying.. "easy baby easy.." kissing her forehead"I'm here for you" "now I have to get used to him not being around.. not hearing him telling at me because I'm always late.." she added "I won't be able to kiss him or hug him or blame him for not having a blue eyes like his" and fell in tears when her girl hugged her tight "I feel you, but I wish I can take this pain away" she said "life is not fair for anyone.. and he is not gone for good he will always be in your heart and mind.. he is so proud of you kami" "he shouldn't jump to save me he had a good life and health.." "no stop.. you being sick doesn't mean you don't have the right to be saved okay!".. she looked at her girl's eyes and they were almost closed because of crying "im not gonna lose you too, I'll be here for you always, I'm not going anywhere.. we will face this toghter, I can't promise you it will be okay.. but it will get easier with time".

Eda was a good girlfriend who wanted to comfort her baby, she took care of her during that phase.

Weeks went by when Niya had to ask kami questions about the accident that she held them up to not put much prusure on her friend.

Kami told her it was a blue car but she doesn't remember the board or the car type.. Niya gave you pictures that were taking from the security cameras that day.. and kami recognized the car "it was this one" "it means let's go get him.

The driver was found, and they brought him to justice, Eda would take the case of course but kami didn't want anything to do with this man, he took her father away if she sees him she will take his life away.. but after all she needed to see him..
They got into the room the three of them with the man.. when kami said "you killed my father.. you took the life out of him.. and you ran away!" She said when the man looked at her "I'm so sorry I'm a father too" "WHY DID YOU DRIVE LIKE FOOL!" She said yelling at his face almost point a punish on him than Eda held her.. "babe no" "let me out" she told Niya when they took him away.

Everyone went home, Eda had to work late, so it's kami and the moon tonight.. she stayed at her backyard looking at the night sky, remembering the nights they spent together watching the moon and waiting for a shooting star to make a wish.. her eyes were so tierd she could not see well, when her brother joined her.. he hugged his sister when their mother joined them.. they light up a candle for him and left it to burn it self the while night.. to guide him home and for him to know that they will never forget him, he lives inside them for a life time untill the death comes and take it's next soul.

You will never know when is the last time you talk to someone work see them, don't take them for granted, always leave the place or the person with warmth and love, just in case it was goodbye for you without realizing that.
