Chapter 10: Reunited

When I open my eyes I'm in the hospital. My leg is all warped in a cast and hurts like hell. My mom is sitting next to my bed and then gets up to hug me once she sees me awake.

"Oh honey are you okay? That's quite a injury you got there." My mom says to me while pushing my hair out of my face.

I try to sit up. "Yeah I'm okay. It hurts a lot. Is it broken?"

"No it's just a bad cut. You can't walk on it much though. Good thing Jeydon was able to get you here. The ambulances were out of service so he drove you here." My mom told me.

Wow he must not hate me that much if he cared that much about me. It's still the same day. Suddenly Jeydon walks in with some water for me.

He says, "Are you okay Hazel?"

"Yeah I'm okay. Thank you for driving me here. You can go now if you want." I tell him.

"No, no it's okay."

I check my phone and text everyone who has texted me. I talk to Jeydon and my mom a bit until shortly the doctor comes in. She said I am okay to go home now. The nurse wheels me down to the car that Jeydon pulled around. He offered to drive me home while my mom goes back to the mall shopping where my little sister and brother are with my dad. It was the longest most awkward car ride ever.

I get up enough courage to say, "Jeydon, I'm truly sorry. I messed up bad. I know you hate me and it's okay if you never want to see or talk to me ever again. But I want you to know that kiss with Gavin meant nothing to me. It may have felt nice but nothing compares to the first kiss I had with you and the love I carry for you."

He stays silent for a moment. "I know Hazel. I don't hate you at all. Just the thing you did. It hurt me when I saw you with Gavin. I still am madly in love with you Haz."

"So you'll give me another chance?" I asked him.

He smiles and takes my hand. "Of course."

We talk about how I fell the rest of the ride home and laugh. When we reach my house he offered to carry me to my bed. When we was walking up the stairs he almost dropped me haha. Then he placed me on my bed and put a blanket over me. When he reached to tuck me in he gets close to my face. He placed his hand on my cheek and kissed my lips. We kiss and kiss and kiss.

Then I pull away. "Not yet. I'm sorry."

He says it's okay and goes to get me ice. Jeydon puts it on my leg and then asked if I want to watch a movie. We cuddle and watch Oculus. I turn off the lamp next to me. We just cuddle and watch the movie for the rest of the time until we fall asleep.

The next day when I wake up I find Jeydon sleeping right next to me. He opens his eyes and looks into mine. He pulls me closer to him and kisses me on the forehead.

"I love waking up finding you next to me." Jeydon says.

I smile. "Me too babe."

We walk, well I hobble, down stairs and join my family for breakfast. I have school soon but I'm not going today because of my leg. My brothers going to pick up my work for me. I'll be spending the day watching Katherine because she's sick and my parents have work. Jeydon leaves to go class but he'll be back later to check on me. Eventually everyone leaves. I watch TV with Katherine for a little then she goes plays with her tablet. I text Jeydon during his class. It's lunch time for Katherine so I hop into the kitchen to turn the stove on and make soup for her. I make Mac & Cheese for myself and Jey. A few minutes later he walks in the house. He greets me with a kiss.

"How was class today?" I ask him.

He smiles. "Ehh it was boring but who cares haha. Why don't you sit down I'll finish this up."

When it's ready I call Katherine and tell her it's ready. We all eat and talk. Then Jeydon cleans up. I sit in the living room and text Sabrina and Danny. Soon after Mike walks in with his friends Grady and Frank. Losers.

"Hey did you get my work that I missed?" I asked Mike.

He tosses me some papers. "Here you go."

"Umm thanks."

His friend Grady asked, "Yo how's your leg. That was a nasty cut that guy gave you."

"It's okay. What guy?" I ask him.

He shrugged. "I don't know this boy was looking at you and then I saw him 'accidentally' fall over you and stab his blade into your leg."

"What did he look like? Was he-" Jeydon cut me off. "Relax babe. Probably was a accident."

I try and think. Would Gavin be angry at me that he ran into me on purpose and stabbed me in leg with his skate. It sounded foolish and stupid but could happen. Anyway I go upstairs as Jeydon leaves. I watch Frozen in my room with Katherine for the rest of the evening.
