Chapter 9: Jeydon

Jeydon meets me at the park even though it's below freezing outside and snowing. I put on my blue peacoat, black thick leggings, UGG snow-boots, white knitted scarf, black beanie and some gloves. I apply some makeup quickly and the go into my moms car. She drives a 2014 Ford Escape. It's roomy. I blast the heat and drive. When I see him i reach out to hug him but he refuses. Uh-oh this isn't good.

"What's wrong Jeydon?" I ask him with a distraught face.

He looks at me. "I know what you did Hazel."

"What do you mean?" I asked.

He looked away. "You got really drunk last night and did some crazy messed up shit. I saw you kissing Gavin. It broke my heart when I saw that. Do you know what that's like?"

"Jeydon I'm so sorry I didn't mean to at all. I love you with all my heart. I never felt this way about a guy before. I don't like Gavin. I was drunk." I start tearing up.

He pauses. "I think we need to take a break for a while. I'm sorry Hazel I've got to go."

"No Jeydon! Don't leave! I'm sorry. I'm so sorry!!" I began sobbing my eyes out.

My heart hurts so badly. I don't know to do. I feel like walking into traffic I don't think I could do this. I call up Luna.

I tell her while crying. "Oh my god Luna. I need you. I cheated on Jeydon and he saw it happen. I feel like I might do something awful."

She rushes over to the park.

"Hey Hazel. Here you go. Come on let's get you home well worry about your car later." Luna hands me coffee and helps me into her car.

I get in the passenger seat and sip the coffee. I think of Jeydon and cry my eyes out. When we drive to my house I pray that no ones home which no one is except my brother Mike. Luna tells him what happened and he says he's going to kill Jeydon but Luna tells him no but she'll explain later. We go to my room and then I fall onto my bed and Luna sits on the bean bag. I tell her everything.

She comes over to me and holds me. "I'll be okay. I promise. You and Jeydon will overcome this. He should understand that you were drunk and didn't intend to kiss Gavin. All what matters now is calming down. I'm here for you."

"Thanks Luna."

We lay in bed and watch a movie. I laugh and smile a bit but I'm only faking it to help Luna.

"We should go get my mom's car before she asked a million questions." I say to Luna.

Luna and I walk outside into her car. When we got to my moms car I got out and Luna did to.

I hug Luna. "Thank you so much. I don't know what I wouldn't have done without your comfort. Please let Sabrina, Danny and Ava know I'm okay."

I get into the car and we drive our separate ways. When I get home I shower then put my pajamas on. I read a book in my bean bag until Mike is knocking on my door. He comes in.

"What happened between you and Jeydon?"

I let out a sigh. I tell him everything. I beg him not to hurt Jeydon.

"Wow you really messed up...but he'll probably be back with you. Jeydon really loves you Hazel. I can see it." Mike tells me.

I smile. "That's probably the nicest thing you ever said to me."

He smirks and leaves. I turn off my lights and go to sleep.

The next morning when I open my eyes my room is all bright and blanched. When I open my curtains I see snow! There's about 2 feet it looks like. I really hope theirs no school today. I can't face Gavin. I have to cry my broken heart out all day. Quickly I turn on the weather and I see that my schools closed. Yay! I run across the hall and bang on Mikes door.

"Wtf?!?!" He says yawning.

I yell, "Go back to sleep. Snow day!"

I leave his room and then go to mine. Before I go to bed I check my phone. There's text messages from Danny, Ava, Sabrina and Luna. No Jeydon. They all say I'm sorry what happened and feel better. I smile then open up at group chat with them and say snow day. We decide to go out later to the park and have a snowball fight and go ice skating. They all begged me to go. I go back to sleep then wake up a couple hours later. I put on dark blue Victoria secret sweatpants and my north face with a white long sleeve shirt on underneath. I wear my brown fuzzy gloves and my white knitted scarf. Almost forgot my snow boots. I apply some make up and do my hair. My parents had work but took off and I told them where I'm going and they insisted on Mike driving me. Ugh. His friends are going there anyway so I catch a ride with them.

"Hey Hazel. Word on the street says you cheated on your college boyfriend with Gavin. What a whore!" He high fives his buddies hand.

My brother gets amped up. "Hey! Riley did you just call my sister a whore. If you did your going to be sorry."

They have a stare down when we got to the park I run out the car. I join my friends. They all hug me like I lost a family member. We begin fighting but when Sabrina got out she went over to flirt with Mike. Ew gross. She can do so much better. Oh well they actually would make a cute couple. I see a familiar face near the skating rink. It's Conner the boy Luna likes. While Luna is busy talking with Ava and Danny I go over to Conner. Since she's helped me I'll make it up to her with a date.

"Hey Conner. I'm Luna's friend Hazel Princeton." I hold out my hand.

He shakes it. "Ah yes she told me about you through text."

"You know Luna is a truly amazing beautiful gal. You guys would be perfect together."

He smiles and looks at her. "Yeah she is perfect. The way her hair shines in the sun. Do you think she likes me?"

"Are you kidding me? Of course she does. Ever since she ran into you, your all she talks about." I tell him.

He says thanks and walk over to her. I smile. I watch as he talks to her. I go closer to hear. Uh no she's rambling again. "Of course I would go out with you. Who wouldn't your very nice and cute. I love you--I mean too. I'd love to. When?" Oh boy I'll have to help her for her first date. We all go ice skating and I fall a billion times. I just have to force a smile. I grab Ava's hand and she helps me skate around. In the falling snow I see Jeydon with his sister and her boyfriend. Ugh.

"Oh no." I tell Ava.

She looks over at him. "I'll be okay Haz. Maybe he'll just leave."

"I hope your right."

I continue skating and laughing. Me and Ava pretended to dance the Waltz on ice but fall. I feel someone trip over my ankle. The blade goes right into my leg. I scream in pain then see blood on the ice. I nearly faint at the sight of my own blood. I see who's running me to the car and it's Jeydon.
