Company
Ang bilis ng mga nagdaang araw. It's been weeks since that Puno Vergaz happenings pero parang kailan lang nangyari. Trevor still texts me sometimes.
"Andrea! Are you done?" sigaw ni auntie mula sa sala. Aalis sila ngayon may pupuntahan silang party. Nandito ako sa sala nakaupo at tinatapos ang mga dapat kong tapusin.
"Are you sure you don't want to go with us?" paulit ulit na tanong sakin ni auntie. It's a party for business people. I don't want to look an intruder.
"You know my answer, auntie." sabi ko nang hindi siya tinitignan at patuloy na nagtataype sa laptop ko.
Bumuntong hininga si auntie. "Okay.. but next time come with us. Madami kang matututunan doon."
Tumingin ako kay auntie. "For what auntie? Wala naman akong negosyo."
Tinignan niya ako nang mabuti "You'll never know, Shez.."
"What do you mean, auntie?" takang tanong ko.
"When the right time comes, Shez.." makahalugang sinabi ni auntie. Hindi ko maintindihan pero nagkibit balikat nalang ako.
"I'm done. Let's go.. Where's dad?" bumaba na si Andrea mula sa kwarto niya. She looks stunning from her spaghetti strap red velvet straight gown na medyo kita ang kaniyang cleavage. Simple pero elegante tignan.
"Ang tagal mo! Nauna na ang dad mo dumiretso na siya doon galing meeting with the Vontigos." Vontigo? I wonder if it's the family of Maxim.
"Vontigo? Is he somewhat related to Maxim Vontigo, auntie?" tanong ko kay auntie.
"You know him? Actually he's the one your uncle Mark had meeting with.." Nagulat ako. I didn't know he owns a company! He looks so young and childish..
"Really? He has his own company?"
"Yup.. Hotels and Restaurants, Shez.. Did you meet him already? Kasama siya sa party na to together with Plexico's clan." Hindi na ako nagulat don. Pero ang maimbitahan sila auntie together with the biggest companies ay nakakagulat.. Lumago na nga talaga ang kompanya nila auntie.
"Yes I know him--"
"Let's go mom! We are already late!" sabi ni Andrea at umirap sa akin.
"Ikaw 'tong mabagal kumilos tapos mamadaliin mo 'ko ngayon?" masungit na sinabi ni auntie sa anak.
"Ilock mo ang mga pinto Shez ha at wag kang magpapasok nang hindi mo kakilala.." paalala ni auntie.
"Opo.."
Umalis na sila auntie at naiwan ako dito mag isa. Ilang oras na akong gumagawa dito at malapit na din ako matapos. Ipinahinga ko muna ang sarili at kinuha ang phone na naiwan ko sa taas. I saw one unread text message from Trevor it was sent 2 hours ago. I smiled
From Trevor:
You didn't come with your family?
Wow! I didn't know he knows my family members. Stalker?
To Trevor:
Nope. Party isn't my thing.
Dahil matagal ako bago nakareply hindi ko inexpect na mabilis siyang sasagot sa text message ko.
From Trevor:
Why?
To Trevor:
Just because. And I have a lot of things to finish
