You are the niece of David Talbot and Lestat de Lioncourt, one summer Lestat invited you to his Chateau in Auvergne, France. You were excited that you were going to spend the summer there! You arrived in the afternoon and David walked out to greet you. You smiled and got out of the car you were in. David smiled and gave you a hug. "It's so good to see you again David!" you said to him as you hugged him. "And you as well y/n." he said letting go of you. He brought you inside the massive Castle. You couldn't help but gaze upon it all, Lestats ancestral home was beautiful beyond words! "This place is so beautiful David! Honestly I'm a bit jealous." you laughed. David chuckled. "Ah yes, I would say so myself." he said. You looked around and noticed how empty the place was, not many people were there at the moment, and you were curious as to why that was. "David it is so quiet today, why is that?" you asked curiously. David laughed. "Everyone is asleep at the moment, they will be joining us this evening." he said. you nodded to show you understood. You remembered how everyone else in the great family was a vampire and that they sleep during the day. David brought your things upstairs to your room and set them down on your bed. "There we are." he said as he set them down. "Now, how about I show you around this place?" he asked. You smiled. "I would love that!" you said. David smiled and you both began to walk around the Castle. David showed you everything, every hall and every room. What you liked the most were the paintings of each member of the great family including the Lioncourt family. You looked at each of them, examining each of them and complimenting on how impressive they were. But one painting in particular caught your attention, it was a painting of a handsome man dressed in red velvet. "David? Who is this?" you asked as you stared at the painting. David walked over to where you were standing. He smiled. "Ah, this is a portrait of Marius de Romanus." he said. "Marius?" you said. David nodded. "Yes he is one of the ancients, there is much history about this man." he said. You smiled. Marius was a very good looking man you thought to yourself. "Shall we continue?" asked David. You nodded and followed him. He continued to show you around the Castle. As you walked around he mentioned something. "Oh y/n, I almost forgot. Lestat is planning another one of his massive gatherings tonight. I wanted to know if you would like to attend." he said. Your eyes lit up. "I would love to attend! I can imagine how wonderful his gatherings are." you said excitedly. "Ah they are quite impressive to say the least, your uncle is quite the master at it." he said. You laughed. "I'm sure he is." you replied.
Later that evening you were getting ready for the party when a knock was heard at your bedroom door. You finished putting your jewelry on and said "Come in" the door opened revealing David with a small box. "Hello David." you said. David looked at you up and down, taking in how beautiful you looked tonight. "Ah my dear girl you look ravishing!" he said. You blushed. "Thank you Uncle." you replied. "I have something for you." he said opening the box. He revealed a beautiful golden necklace. "Wow David it is so beautiful! How did you come by it?" you asked. "It was a gift to your aunt but she didn't seem to want it, she thought you would like it better than she." he said. you nodded. "How nice of her." you said. "Here allow me." said David. He carefully placed the necklace around your neck. "Thank you David." you said. "My pleasure." he replied. "Oh and remember what I said about the guests this evening." he reminded you. "Oh yes, all of them are vampires. They all possess the dark gift." you said. David nodded. "Yes that is right, I do hope you aren't concerned of it." he said. You shook your head. "No not at all, I'm sure they are all lovely." you said. "Yes well most are to say the least, but I do ask you to please stay with me when we go down. I don't wish for you to get into any trouble, not all vampires are trustworthy as you know." he said. You nodded. "Of course, I understand." you said.
Soon enough the gathering commenced, there were hundreds of people. David was right, Lestat did hold impressive gatherings. "My god." you whispered as you stood at the balcony. You looked down at the large crowd. David laughed. "I told you so." he said. You laughed. "yes you were right Uncle David, very impressive indeed." you said. "May we go down?" you asked. David nodded. "Of course we can, now remember stay with me." he said. reminding me. You nodded to show you understood. David led you downstairs to the party. You and him made your way through the crowd until you both came upon a group of people talking. David saw that Armand, Louis, Pandora, and Maharet were that group of people. David introduced you to them. They were very kind towards you. But all the while you were looking for that man you saw in the painting. While the others were talking among themselves you scanned the room around you, searching for him. You spotted Lestat talking to someone, you couldn't make out who it was at first because there were people in the way.
Soon enough they moved and you finally spotted who it was, you blushed as you saw that it was the man in the painting. David noticed that you found them. He was very amused by it as you were just staring at the two of them. He beckoned you to follow him, you nodded and did as he said. You followed David to where Lestat and the man were talking. Lestat noticed David right away. He smiled. "Ah David!" he said. You watched as David shook Lestats hand and then the man he was talking to, the one named Marius. Lestat noticed you and smiled. "Hello y/n." he said in his french accent. making you smile. "Hello Lestat." you said and gave each other a hug and a kiss on the cheek. Marius only looked at you. He thought you were the most beautiful creature he had ever laid eyes upon. "Y/N, this is Marius. He is the one who made Lestat." said David. "So Marius was the one who made Lestat!" you thought to yourself. "Marius this is mine and Lestats niece Y/N, L/N." said David, introducing you to him. Marius smiled. He had such a gorgeous smile. "How do you do Marius?" you said stretching out a hand for him to shake. "It is a pleasure to meet you Miss y/n." he said and kissed your hand. You blushed. He was such a gentleman. "I'm gonna get another drink, David will you join me?" asked Lestat. David nodded. "Of Course." he replied and followed Lestat.
Leaving you and Marius alone together, the two of you spoke to one another. It was nice to get to know him. As you spoke to Marius, David looked over at you and Marius and he noticed that he was very flirtatious and charming towards you, he was definitely flirting with you much to Davids surprise. Lestat laughed as he saw the same thing. "I have never seen Marius flirt like that before." said Lestat as he took a sip of his drink. David kept staring at you and Marius. "Yes, neither have I." he said.
Hours had gone by and the party had ended, you were ready for bed and were about to lie down when you heard a noise. This got your attention. You saw something by your bedroom window, you walked over to it and noticed it was a paper airplane. "That's strange." you said. You shrugged it off and grabbed the paper airplane. You saw there was writing inside it, curiously you opened it and read it to yourself.
Dearest Y/N,
I enjoyed my time with you this evening, and it is a night I shall never forget. Perhaps, if it isn't too much trouble of course...we could meet again. If you should accept this letter then meet me in the castle gardens on Saturday night once the sun has set for the day. I do hope to see you again.
Sincerely,
Marius De Romanus
P.S. You looked absolutely stunning at the ball.
You blushed like mad that night, Marius was such a sweetheart. You definitely wanted to see him again on Saturday night.
