An angel was never supposed to leave Heaven without permission. Malak never had permission. So how did he end up in this strange place? He tried to figure out how he got there but nothing. Fear started to take over him. There was no way he could get back to Heaven if he didn't know how he left. Surely, he'd get severely punished if he didn't return soon.

Looking around, the angel noticed that this unusual world was full of color, unlike Heaven which was pure white. At least, the parts he had seen was. It was a nice contrast to what he usually saw.

Malak didn't know much as his guardian thought the more knowledgeable he was, the less innocent he was. Thankfully, his guardian taught him colors though he's never seen this many at the same time. He loved it. The world around him was absolutely gorgeous. It was very intriguing to him to see so much color. Especially the green which was everywhere- it was also his favorite color.

There was something else very strange about this place that Malak noticed. There were sounds everywhere. Buzzing, chirping, humming, talking, everything. This was another thing Malak liked about this strange world. In Heaven, there was no sound unless his guardian was there. But he didn't like it when his guardian spoke or the sounds of her beating him. However, sometimes he thinks it's better than the dead silence he normally hears.

He preferred this place to Heaven. It was nice and calming. But, at the same time, it was frightening. He knew nothing of this world and he didn't know how far away from home he was. What was he going to do? Certainly, he'd get in trouble if he stayed. But how is he supposed to leave if he didn't know how he got there?

Malak didn't want his mind to wander too much. Wandering could lead to sin. He sighed and stood up, noticing the strange clothing on his body. He has only seen angels wear togas or robes. Nothing of this sort.

The blue itchy material covered both legs individually! And the clothing that covered his torso wasn't even connected to it! The loose material was white with some art on it and words he couldn't read. He didn't know what to think of the clothing but he assumed it was normal as the other beings in this world seemed to be wearing similar clothing.

Malak shook his head. He shouldn't be worried about clothes right now. He needed to find out where he was! He's never been outside of Heaven and the only other world he knew was Hell. But, from the little he knew about Hell, he didn't think this place was it. This world was too nice to be somewhere so bad.

The best way to learn where this world was and what it was called was by asking one of the multiple beings surrounding him. But he didn't want to draw too much attention to himself. These beings could be dangerous for all he knew.

So the angel thought the best thing to do was to follow his instincts. He felt something in him calling him in a certain direction. It's a feeling he's never felt before but he was curious. Obviously, he followed it. His instincts led him to a small white building with beautiful windows. The windows were colorful and looked like art. He enjoyed all the colors. It was very distracting.

Malak looked at the sign but frowned. The letters didn't make any sense to him but he recognized the cross. His guardian used to have one just like it. She got mad at Malak one day and ending up break the cross in the process of her yelling. He shivered at the memory. He didn't like it when she yelled.

The door silently opened as Malak walked in. He made sure to take in all the tiny details he could. Everything about this place fascinated him. He's never seen anything like it. This world was truly fascinating. He was so lost in the beauty of the place that he didn't notice the guy in black clothing approach him.

"Hello, I'm Father Thomas. What can I do for you?" The stranger, Father Thomas, said causing the young angel to jump. This stranger could be dangerous. He could try to hurt him. So cautiously, he took a step back.

But he realized something, Malak didn't know what a father was. He tried to figure it out but nothing. Forgetting his previous caution, Malak decided to talk to the Father, hoping to figure out what he was. Maybe he knew some magic that could get him home. Curiosity caused Malak to get in trouble a lot.

"What is a father?" He inquired. The angel was very excited about the answer. He always loved learning new things.

The Father looked at him curiously. Something was off about the stranger but it wasn't in a bad way. Just an unusual way. "Fathers are priests. We help people in need and guide them in their spiritual journeys," he answered.

"You help people? Could you help me? I have no idea what this place is," he told the Father, still excited. If Fathers helped people, he could be able to help the lost angel. Maybe he could tell him how to get back to Heaven- though, the angel wasn't sure if he wanted to return. This world was much better than his home. It was full of life.

"Um, you're in a church. Are you okay, Kid?" Father Thomas asked.

"A church? I did not mean the building, though I am glad I know what this place is called now. I meant what world am I in?" The angel asked intently.

Father Thomas was concerned for the stranger. It wasn't the first time he's dealt with someone like him but he still was worried. Normally, the Father would invite the stranger into his office while he called the police. But something told him not to.

"I don't know what world you're talking about but we're in Ohio. Unless you meant like the planet, then we're on Earth," he shrugged.

Earth. What an interesting name for the world. Malak never heard of it before. He wondered how far away Heaven was. Before he could ask, Father Thomas inquired, "What world are you from?"

The Father didn't know why he asked him this. The kid in front of him really intrigued him for some reason. He wanted to know more about him. Maybe he was the miracle he prayed for. The other priest, Father Greg, was injured and both men prayed for his safe healing. Maybe this kid was God's gift.

"Heaven. Do you know how I could get back?" Malak answered.

Father Thomas' eyes grew wide. Was this teenager really an angel? No, that'd be crazy. But then again, maybe it wasn't. He always believed God worked in mysterious ways.

The Father quickly snapped out of his thoughts, realizing he hadn't answered the stranger yet. The question was so unusual but so was everything about the kid. "I'm afraid I don't. Do you mind me asking why you're here?" He questioned.

"I have no clue. I woke up here on this Earth and decided to follow my gut- I think that is the right phrase," Malak shrugged.

"Maybe you're the miracle Father Greg and I prayed for! Do you think you could help him? He was badly injured a few days ago and can't do anything without being in pain," he explained.

Malak shrugged again. He didn't agree with the Father. He was here for a different reason but he didn't know what yet. However, he didn't mind helping someone while he was here. He rarely got to use his healing gifts.

Father Thomas showed the angel to Father Greg's bedroom. When he explained to the older Father who the young stranger was, Father Greg thought he was crazy. Still, he let Malak heal him. Both Fathers were stunned when a light shinned from Malak's palms and Father Greg's bones and bruises healed.

"Does that feel better?" Father Greg silently nodded, too shocked to say anything- "That is great! Now, I must go. I do not think this is the reason I am here. Though, I am grateful to help."

The angel left the Fathers in the room as he made his way out of the church. Father Thomas was very helpful but sadly, he couldn't give Malak all the answers he wanted. However, before Malak could leave, Father Thomas called out to him.

"Kid! I have no idea why you're here but I know there's a good reason. I bet there's a great opportunity for you just around the corner so don't be afraid to take it. Let God guide you," Father Thomas advised him.

A great opportunity sounded really nice to Malak. He hasn't had many of those. It'd be a nice change for once. Maybe he wouldn't be lonely anymore. Maybe coming to Earth was a great thing. Malak thanked the Father and made his way somewhere. He didn't know where yet but he was excited to find out. He was going to find this great opportunity that the Father talked about.
