Daniel 9

An example of true, intercessory prayer: confessing and praying not only for my sins but for others.

Key points noted:

1. Fast and pray. There's a time when prayer alone isn't sufficient.

2. Pray humbly

3. Have the fear of the Lord

4. The Lord is faithful and shows mercy to those who love Him

5. Admit sin. Disobedience, blocking of the ears and defiance is sin.

6. To the Lord belongs all knowledge.

7. The Lord will pardon the sincere repentant, and backslider too.

8. The ways of the Lord are clear. Listen and obey

9. The Lord is our Savior

10. The Lord is righteous

11. Plead His mercies, we have no merit besides

12. God sends wisdom

13. We call, God answers

14. O how He loves us!

15. Make reconciliation for iniquity. Cease from sin.

16. Bring in everlasting righteousness. Live holy.

James 5

Don't treasure earthly treasures. They can't save you and will perish. Don't fraud. be patient. The Lord is coming. Stand fast in the faith. Determine to endure to the end. Be kind. Be patient and humble even in affliction. Be prayerful. The Lord is merciful. Don't swear.

In affliction? Pray. Happy? Praise God. Sick? Call for prayers. Pray in faith. Lift up each other in prayer. Pray fervently! Pray earnestly! Lead others to Christ.
