Chapter 18: Reunion

Right after breakfast ay nagbihis na ako at tumungo na sa VGC. I'm finally the President of the company. Lahat nakasalalay na sa akin. I feel so pressured but I'm quite excited for the next chapter of my life.

As I enter the premises of the building, I can feel some of my employee's eyes on me. I know tinitignan nila if kakayanin ko ba kasi sobrang layo ng business sa law. I studied to become a lawyer but here I am now as the president of Venereza Group of Companies.

"Good morning po, sir!"

"Sir, good morning po!"

"Congratulations on being the new president po!"

"Sir, bagay ho kayong presidente!"

Those are just few of the compliments I've been getting habang naglalakad ako papunta sa office ko. I'm all by myself since wala pa si Hank kasi on a honeymoon pa ang loko. Yes, siya pa rin 'yung secretary. He used to be Dad's secretary/ sidekick/ most trusted man in the company/ friend of course. Dad asked him if gusto na niyang mag-retire but he shook his head no and said that he would love to work with me. He is a great man. That's why we are close din and I even call him cachupoy.

Habang naglalakad ako ay bigla kong nakasalubong yung janitress na parang nahihiwagaan pa rin ako. Is this some kind of a jeopardy? Hindi kasi siya mukhang janitor talaga. Pakiramdam ko parang may nagma-manman dito sa akin sa company. Hindi ko siya pinansin at nakita kong yumuko siya at kumaripas ng lakad. Oh okay. Tell me that isn't fishy.

Binuksan ko na 'yung pinto ng bago kong office at may naamoy agad ako. Coffee? Umagang-umaga may pa-surprise ang mga employees ko dito ah. I took a peek and got totally lost for words.

"SURPRISEEEEEEE!"

Nagulat ako sa nakita ko. Binilang ko pa kung may kulang ba sa kanila.

Isa.

Dalawa.

Tatlo.

Apat.

Lima.

Anim.

Pito.

Walo.

What the hell are they doing here?

"Dang. You got me so surprised. Why on the fucking earth are you all here?" tanong ko sa kanila

"Why? This is our company as well, bro. Plus, we just want to support you on this new journey of yours..." sagot ni Mikael, 'yung kapatid kong sumunod sa akin.

He's the second child. He's now studying business in a university in Boston. Actually second course niya na 'yan. He's very first one is accountancy. Double major na at gwapo pa. Manang-mana sa kuya.

"Oo nga. I even cancelled some of my dates para lang makasama akong makauwi dito..." sabi naman ni Nikolai, 'yung pangatlo sa aming magkakapatid

He's now a junior at a univeristy in Philadelphia naman, studying architecture. Just like Dad, he collects girls. Kung may sumunod man sa yapak ni Dad, it's no other than but him.

"We just missed you, Kuya. Thank you for sending me cash!" sabi naman ni Ryder, the fourth one at ang pinakamakulit sa lahat

He's a freshman naman taking up film kasi gusto niyang maging film maker or producer someday. Kaya lagi ko siyang pinapadalhan ng pera kasi ang mamahal ng mga expenses niya sa school. He is Mom's guy version. Sophie na sophie 'yung mukha kaso lalaki nga lang. HAHAHAHA

The fifth one is Gabriel. Siya 'yung pinakamabait sa lahat. In fact, nakaupo lang siya sa swivel chair ko at bored na nakatingin sa amin. He just graduated from high school at torn pa siya kung engineering ba o astrophysics 'yung kukunin niya. Sana all may braincells na kagaya niya. SANA ALLLLLL.

The sixth and seventh siblings of mine are Volker and Vakiias. Sila yung may mga names na pinagtripan lang daw ng parents namin but still turned out pretty good. They're both incoming seniors in high school at heartthrob pa sa school. Volker plays basketball and Vakiias plays soccer.

And the very last one and the only girl in this magulo siblings is Charlotte. The ever maingay at adik sa liptint. HAHAHA.

"We heard you're dating now. Sino 'yung malas na babaeng 'yun?" biro ni Volker

"Malas talaga ha? Upakan kita diyan eh!" sabi ko sa kanya at natawa lang siya

"Naiinggit lang 'yan kasi kaka-break lang nila ni Summer..." sabi naman ni Vakiias..

"Ouch naman! Volks, kung bigo ka kasi huwag ka nang mandamay ng mga taong masasaya 'yung lovelife!"
sabi ni Charlotte kay Volker

Get to know the ever maingay at magulong magkakapatid. Hindi man halata but I freaking miss all of them.

May pa-coffee at brownies pa sila ah.

"Paano nangyari na nakauwi kayong lahat?" tanong ko 'coz I'm still clueless about some things

"Bro, Dad booked us a flight. Bored lang din naman kami 'dun kasi vacation pa so might as well be here na lang..." sagot ni Mikael at kaming tatlo na lang yata ni Nikolai ang nag-uusap dito kasi may mga sariling mundo na 'yung iba

"Congrats, bro. We're so proud of what you've achieved..." sabi naman ni Nikolai

"Thanks bro. Thank you guys for being here..." sabi ko sa kanila kahit hindi na ako pinakikinggan 'nung iba
