Floor 2: Evankhell's Hell
Variiya's PoV

I was sitting alone in my bedroom, staring at the closing wound in my wrist. Every time I think of Calliope, it starts throbbing as if it were just fresh. I still can't forget the times she acted so nice to me, the times we laughed and when she hugged me. She was the first person to approach me, and I was so thankful for her.

But apparently I never knew her.

Tridori Calliope, I thought and leaned back on my bed. He's really out to get me. I nearly forgot about my entire awful life before I entered the Tower. Ever since Calliope told me her last name, his face has never gotten out of my mind.

My betrothed, Tridori Minakto, was a horrid man. Before, I was always so scared of him; fear was one of the only emotions I knew of down there. I couldn't take his torture anymore, so I ran away from my clan. Then Headon found me. Now here I am, living my life as a Regular.

The Tridoris was known as a family of Cursed people, the first Tridori betrayed King Jahad when he climbed the Tower and they were exiled. They were traitors and lunatics, it's in their blood.

Sighing, I turned to my side and wiggled my toes. I was able to speed up my recovery, not wanting to give Khun an excuse to intentionally make me trip and carry me over his shoulders everywhere. He keeps trolling me and I'm getting annoyed.

Though I'm happy that I see the two of us as 'close'. He was right, Bam cemented the entire team together, he was the one who introduced me to the blue-haired brat, the reason why I even talked to Khun in the first place.

I couldn't believe I was friends with a Khun. A Khun, the family that my family should forever hate. The boy I told myself to stay at least 5 meters away.

I stood up and walked to my door. After 4 steps, I felt a sharp pain in my ankle. I yelped and fell down, now my arms hurt.

Someone knocked on my room. Since I was near my door, I was able to crouch and open the knob. It was Myung, a distraught look in his face.

"Did you just fall?" He asked.

I laughed nervously and waved my hand dismissively. "Pft, no!"

He gave me a look that says 'Really?' and rolled his eyes. "How are you?"

"Fine, I guess," I muttered and turned around, avoiding his blood-red eyes. I covered my face with my hands, despair falling all over me. "It still hurts, I can't believe it."

I couldn't see Myung's reaction, but he placed a hand on my shoulder. "It's okay, it's only natural to trust your teammates. Damn it, I actually believed her too."

I peeked to now see him holding his hand out. "You need help to go?" I nodded, holding his arm gingerly to help me stand.

A random thought popped up in my head as I stared at his red eyes. "Myung... are you perhaps... a Ha?"

He chuckled. "I'm surprised you took that long to figure it out."

I was dumbfounded. I never really paid attention to all these little details and tried to figure out where he came from.

"There's this thing I was told as a kid," He continued. "To help those people with two colors of the fallen family. I never really understood it. As soon as I saw you, I was reluctant to kill you off."

"Do you know who I really am?"

Myung shook his head. "Nope, but you don't need to tell me. You're an ally of my family, that's all I need to know."
