Oh my, sorry I almost forgot to post this because I kept on listening to How You Like That HAHAHAH

Floor 12
Variiya's PoV

I knew I messed up.

I hate myself for that.

I knew I was stuck in a dream, but my mind was just pitch black. I just stared at the dark wall, wondering when I'd be freed.

"No!" A shout echoed through the creeks and crannies of this cold, dark place and I turned around to see a seven-year-old me crying. Who made me cry? I clearly remember that day.

My older sister, Chrysta, or C.C., sneered. "Why should I be friends with you if I'll end up slitting your throat or perhaps even the other way around?" She rolled her hypnotic green-blue eyes and flicked her ebony hair out of her face. "We're the Daughters of the Miracle Moons, remember? We're all enemies, we're not family."

Gara or G.G., the second eldest was like her minion, following her around. She returned that evil grin and menacing stare with her aqua eyes, brown hair framing her small face, and left with Chrysta.

I grimaced, wondering how a seven-year-old would even have such a philosophy, but it became mine as well. I couldn't trust anyone I just met. Those were one of the first words I told Khun in the first test.

Little me wouldn't stop crying. I never really knew how I felt when she spat those words on me. Perhaps it was a mix of fear, frustration, regret, and anger. I've become so paranoid with life until some light shone upon me.

"Stop crying," Warbled a heartwarming voice. My tearstained face glanced up with wonder to see my sister Lili. She was wearing the same dress robes as me, four purple beads on her neck showed she was the last of the Moon Children. "Don't listen to them, not everyone would want to kill each other, there are some who will truly help you.

I sniffled. "Really?"

Her face had a sudden wistful expression. "Well, we can't have our own mothers with us, so why not be for each other?"

I gasped and smiled through my tears. "Okay!"

I looked away, beaming from the nostalgia. Lili, where are you now? I thought. I know she's safe, probably being more of a troublemaker than me.

Aera, my Caretaker, was braiding my hair, combing it harshly. "It hurts," I whined.

She chuckled. "You need to learn to take care of yourself, Lady Variiya."

I pouted. "But you'll be there to take care of me, won't you?"

Suddenly there was a knock on my door. Aera smiled at me. "I have a surprise for you."

I was quite uneasy, wondering who it was. A woman with golden-brown hair and lavender highlights entered my room. Her eyes were a curious mix of pink and purple. Her smile was kind and genuine, seeing wrinkles by the sides of her eyes.

"That's your mother," Aera gently nudged me forward.

My feet were frozen, jaw-slacked. I didn't know how to react. The woman took me in her arms, eyes spilling with tears. "My dearest," She wailed. "I'm so sorry,"

Even though I didn't know who she was, her presence was just so... right, as if I knew who she was. Behind her was a basket full of laundry, she opened it to reveal a baby boy of 4 years sleeping. "This is your brother, Varino Enko."
