Variiya's PoV

"KHUN!" I screamed as his body fell limp on mine.

Frantic, I checked his back to see the bullet wound, he was bleeding so much. Breathing heavily, I scanned my surroundings to understand what happened. Khun's Lighthouse was dimming, most likely, he used it to teleport to me.

What is this bullet? I thought frantically, sensing massive traces of shinsu in it. The bullet was still in him, and it was very deep. Reading the shinsu, I saw that poison was slowly flooding in him. Paralysis? I thought and tried to extract it out of his system using shinsu.

"Shit," I cursed as I pressed my hand on the gash, summoning shinsu to soothe the pain, stopping the blood from pooling out.

"V.V., stop," He croaked and put his hand on mine to stop me. "Stop the sniper first."

"Shut up," I swatted him away, focusing on him. "I can fix this, just wait."

Another bullet zipped through the air, grazing my leg. I winced and clutched it. Thankfully, it wasn't deep.

"Variiya," Said Rachel through her Lighthouse. "They're coming after you."

"What?" I muttered, voice hoarse as I looked up in horror.

Our opponents, most who we thought we defeated, were on their feet, menacing grins peeking from their hoods, laughing at what just happened.

"Are you scared, Violet Wave?" Enemy #2 provoked and pointed to his injury. "I'll get you for this."

Shit, shit, shit. That was the only word running around in my head. What do I do? If I leave Khun he might bleed to death or one of these guys.

"V.V.," Khun whispered, his bloody hand stroking my cheek. "Calm down, focus on them, I can handle this. I'm fine,"

I gritted my teeth and looked back at the approaching men. Ripping the hem of my cloak, I hurriedly bundled it up and pressed on his wound, earning a strained groan from him. "Press this on your wound, I'll try healing you slowly. If you can, use your Lighthouses and make a barrier to protect yourself and Rachel. I'll lead them away."

I ignored his protests and stood up, my blood boiling with fury as I clenched Lambent Light in my hand. "Oh, our dear Violet Wave is angry!" Jeered Mr. Maniac. "Let's see what she can do."

I stepped out of Khun's range of Lighthouses, a dark look on my face. "There's the pretty purple eyes we wanted to see." Whistled Enemy #1.

Tilting my head, I asked them, "Is that why I'm called the Violet Wave?" My rapier began glowing a bruising shade of shinsu and readied my arm for an attack. I smiled, remembering the promise I made to myself on the Floor of Tests. I will be known, but not like this.

The men advanced at me, all at once. I lithely stepped out of the way, letting them clash their swords with their own teammates. I stuck my foot out and they tripped on one another, making a fool of themselves. Enemy #4 brought out his shinsu whip which I easily deflected, flicking it to hit the sniper from above. Ducking then filling my palm with energy, I punched Enemy #4 by the ribs, hearing a sickening crack.

I ran further through the corridor, further from Khun and Rachel, luring them to me. "Stop running away, you're the known Violet Wave, maybe you're just weak and slightly pretty." One of them taunted, their breathy voice echoing through the dark halls. "But it's such a beautiful title, The Violet Wave."

Can you stop saying that? I bit my lip, trying my best to concentrate collecting large amounts of shinsu, at the same time, from afar, trying to help Khun from the shinsu surrounding him.
