Two days later...
Floor 8
Variiya's PoVShibisu's team left and performed the test yesterday. Since they didn't come back to the fifth floor, it was safe to assume that they didn't fail. I couldn't contact Endorsi. Apparently there was a contract which states that you're not allowed to keep in touch with people on the lower floors.
I was taking a walk around the 8th Floor, which was kind of similar to the 5th except it was a bit more urban. The testing arena was a massive dome located in the heart of the city. The tests were only allowed to be taken once a month, so first, we were chilling.
I bought a take-out from a restaurant downtown. Khun knew how to cook and challenged me to do so. I simply declined the offer because I can't cook to save my life, I'll probably poison them...
My stomach was rumbling and I was cranky. I wanted to eat my spicy ramyeon already; I haven't eaten this in such a long time. Inside the paper bag in my hands were bibimbap and omurice. What a quite unhealthy choice for breakfast but it's fine.
The shinsu sky dimmed as night came, the street lights turned on and brightened my path. I began to walk faster because it's obviously not nice and safe to go through the isolated streets.
One second later, I was falling forward. I think I tripped on something. I yelped and let go of the paper bag to let my hands soften my fall. Since I was wearing shorts, I got scraped as I fell on my knees. I cursed my ratty, old combat boots for doing me wrong and nearly tore to see my precious food spilled on the ground. First, I was sad about my food, then my money. A testy feeling boiled in me, I probably didn't trip on the sidewalk.
The tip of a lance was pointed at my chin, tilting my head up to see the person who made me fall.
Oh great, another blonde. I gritted my teeth in frustration as I backed away from his weapon. He had a brown cloak and he removed his hood to reveal a pair of grey eyes. His eyes twitched as if he had some sort of strange tic and he leered at me. This guy looks like he does shit to girls for a living. (Just imagine Oberon from SAO).
"Hey little girl," He crooned.
I cringed. I'm unfortunately and probably right. I stood up and dusted myself, unwavering from the man's actions. "What do you want?"
"A good time," He grinned, licking his lips.
I turned my head in disgust. "Not interested," I turned around, planning to make another trip to the restaurant. This man was getting on my nerves.
Another cloaked man stopped me, it was probably one of his cronies. "Come on, sweetheart," He said in a sickly voice. He grabbed my hand, "We'll take care of you."
I tried to recoil my hand away from his grip. "No means no, no wonder why other girls would probably reject your offer."
Both men snarled, his hand on my wrist tightened. I winced a bit, but I'm over that mental injury. My eyes flared with anger. "Let go of me," I said, not wanting to fight.
"No," He growled and smirked. "You're such a naughty girl, looks like we'd have to teach you a lesson."
My nose wrinkled from his acrid smell. My eyes darted down and saw that he was stepping on my fallen food, the aroma of the spiciness drowning from his putridness. You assholes could've left this hungry person in peace. You don't want to mess with me when I'm starving. I broke free from his weak hold. "You do not mess with me when I want to eat, you son of a bitch."
The man was taken aback. He looked at his buddy and nodded at him, oh well, they chose to attack.
My purple eyes seemingly glowed, brighter than the faint streetlights from exasperation. "Are you sure you don't want to change your mind?"
