this whole week consisted of me hanging out with the boys' place after my conditioning. it's currently saturday and my family is coming over today. since the boys' and the girls' families were still here my family invited them as well.
it's about 2:30 right now and i'm in the kitchen cooking with my mom and kalea. the boys were doing a little bit of cleaning around the house waiting for the kalbi and steaks they were going to grill to be marinated.
after cooking and preparing everything i went upstairs to shower and change. i changed into black nike joggers and my light gray nike zip up sweater. i had a tank top underneath and didn't zip it up all the way. i then braided the two front pieces of my hair and tied it back.
then i went downstairs and started setting out the plates, bowls, cups, and utensils. the boys were on the patio starting to grill up the meats. then i heard the door open.
"HI EVERYONE!" my auntie lei lei yelled.
"hi auntie. mom and ate kalea are still getting ready." i said hugged her.
"oh kianna how are you?" she asked sympathetically.
"i'm getting better auntie." i said.
i then greeted my cousins and uncle chris that came with her. soon my family started piling in. then the boys and their families came in. shortly after the girls and their families came.
once pretty much everyone was here we blessed the food and dug in. everyone seemed to be chatting and getting along. the men were outside on the patio while the teens and kids were in the living room. the aunties were in the kitchen gossiping.
"i love your family they're so kind and opening to people." i daniel said to me.
"same with yours." i smiled at him.
"karaoke time!" my mom yelled.
"oh no..." i said.
"what do you mean oh no? karaoke is the best part of your family parties!" daniel smiled.
"they're going to ask us to sing. and then they're going to be here all night long and drunk sing." i said.
"i don't mind whatsoever." he said.
"if they ask us to sing they're going to make us sing a love song." i said.
"i don't mind." he winked.
soon enough the mic was being passed around so that everyone.
"your guys' turn!" my mom said.
"mom no." i said.
"come on it'll be fun!" daniel said grabbing one of the mics from my moms hand.
"please baby i missed your singing." she said.
"fine." i said grabbing the mic from her.
"sing back at one!" uncle chris yelled.
it soon started to play and i looked at daniel with a 'are you sure look' and he nodded reassuringly.
"it's undeniable that we should be together
it's unbelievable how i used to say that i'd fall never" i sang.
"the basis is need to know if you don't know just how i feel then let me show you now that I'm for real." daniel sang.
"if all things in time, time will reveal." i sang turning to face daniel.

five, make you fall in love with me if ever i believe my work is done then i'll start back at one" we sang together getting lost in each other's eyes.
we continued singing and didn't break eye contact. it felt as if we were singing to each other if that makes sense. by the end of the song everyone was cheering.
we looked at each other for little bit before turning to everyone and smiling. it felt as if the world just slowed down while i was singing with daniel. it just felt so right.
"i-" daniel tried to say before being cut off by my mom.
"you guys sang so good together!" she said taking the mics from us giving them to other people.
"thank you mckenna." he smiled.
"what were you going to say?" i asked.
"keykai!" someone yelled.
i turned around it was my uncle chris. he gestured me to come to him. i nodded then turned to daniel.
"i'm sorry i'll be right back." i said as i walked to my uncle.
"come here sit nening." he said.
so i said next to him. "yes uncle?" i asked.
"let me tell you something. i've never been so sure in my whole life that you and daniel are meant to be together. i saw the way you guys looked at each other when you sang. you looked guys made it seem like you were the only two in the room. i want you to marry this guy. he's a good guy and i've never seen anyone look at you the way he does." he said.
"oh uncle i don't know if we'll get married but i really do like him. but i guess time will tell." i said.
"i know you will, now go back to him." he smiled.
i got up and hugged him then made my way back to daniel.
"cmon bub lets go get some desert." i said offering him my hand to help him stand up from the couch. he gladly accepted and we went to go get desert.
"oh my goodness! it's that stuff again what's it called?" he said all excitedly pointing to a bowl of fruit salad.
"it's fruit salad." i chuckled as he already got a cup and started filling it up with the fruit salad. he made me a cup as well and we made our way back to the living room.
•daniels pov
"daniel come here!" uncle chris said from across the house. i stopped my walking and looked at kianna with a worried look. she just shooed me off.
i sat down next to him a little nervous so i played with the fruit salad in my cup a little bit.
"when are you going to ask out my niece? i'm so sure that you guys are going to get married to each other. i saw the way you guys looked at each other when you sang. i know you love my niece." he said.
"i don't know i'm waiting for the right time. but i really think i am in love with her. i'm just so captivated by her. she's amazing." i said.
"well you should do it soon because i know for a fact she feels the same way." he said.
"but what if it doesn't work out i don't want it to ruin our friendship and her friendship with everyone else." i said.
"boy, let me tell you something. you guys are meant to be and just have faith in what will happen. i know i have a gut feeling you guys will end up together trust me." he smiled patting me on the back.
"okay, i'll ask her out on senior night." i said to him.
"the whole family going to be there so that's a good idea. now go back to her i bet she's wondering what we're talking about but don't tell her." he smiled.
"alright i won't. see you later!" i said walking away.
i made my way back to kianna who was laughing at something. her laugh was so cute.
"hey what'd he talk to you about?" she asked.
"oh he just asked me about the band and how long i've been singing." i said.
"oh i see." she smiled. ugh her smile is cute.
the rest of the night was full of fun. i could tell that my families first filipino party was a success and they had fun. which was good. i'm glad our families got along. as soon as we got home i was super tired so i just went to bed.
