as we got medaled for winning the media came up to us. i got pulled aside for some interviewers and got asked some questions.
"hi kianna, larry here from overtime good to see you again." he said into the mic looking at me then at the camera.
"hi larry it's nice to see you again." i smiled.
"first of all how does it feel to be a back to back state champion?"
"amazing, i never thought in a million years that i would be here achieving this goal of mine. it feels like i'm on cloud nine." i smiled.
"thats great! now i got to ask what happened during the beginning the game? you seemed off and didn't play as well."
"i don't know to be honest i think my nerves just got the best of me, but then i had a talk with someone in between sets and i just zoned everything out and started playing better."
"who might this someone be?"
"my boyfriend." i smiled.
"well that was very sweet of him. are you okay? from that ankle injury? what had happened?"
"yes i'm okay now i think i popped it or like dislocated it? i don't know it just felt weird and i felt a weird pain. so lilah our assistant coach and pt popped it back into place and i was good."
"well that's amazing how you went back into the court after and helped your team win."
"yeah it hurt at first but it's alright now."
"well that's all i got time for today folks, it was mice seeing you again kianna."
"thanks for having me larry, see ya!" i said as i waved by to the camera.
a few more people interviewed me and it was pretty much the same questions.
after i went back to my team who was also doing interviews and we celebrated yet again.
throughout all the chaos and people wanting pictures i finally got to see my family and everyone was here. they congratulated me and lei'd me.
"you did so good i'm proud of you!" daniel said running up to me and engulfing me into a hug after i greeted my family.
"thanks babe it's all because of you." i smiled.
he put me down and the rest of the boys and girls came to congratulate me.
we talked for a little bit before i had to go into the locker room. to do one last team talk.
"alright girls i'm so proud of you and you guys had an amazing season. you are a very special group of girls and i will miss you seniors next year. i love you all and now let's go celebrate!" coach said.
we cheered and i went up to her and hugged her. both of us crying with tears of joy. we were having a huge party at my house with all my family that came, the boys, the girls as well as the team and their families. there was going to be a lot of people.
it's currently 7:30 and we were all starving. my family and i rushed home to get the food ready. warming them up in the oven and setting out deserts and stuff.
my other family members were out getting some food and drinks for the party as well. as everything was getting set up people started piling into my house. i greeted everyone as they came through the door.
"hey there's my state champ." daniel said as he entered the house the boys behind him.
"there's my amazing boyfriend." i smiled and kissed him.
