"alright good job lady warriors! now if everyone please be seated and the families of the seniors please make their way to the exit to the left." mr. smith said into the mic as they were getting ready to announce us.
so my siblings and my parents made their way down from the bleachers and met me in small hallway by the exit. they congratulated me on the win and said i played really good. they also lei'd me a little.
they announced everyone and i was going last since i was captain.
"and now for your last senior a captain ms. kianna dela cruz!" mr. smith said.
my family went crazy all you heard was screaming, CHEEHOO's from them and i think my uncle chris had an air horn.
i smiled grabbing my mini volleyball that i custom designed and made sure to throw it straight at daniel. he caught it.
"kianna's favorite memory was during junior year after winning state when her and the team went to the trampoline park and coach peter got stuck in the foam pit." mr. smith announced causing the crowd to laugh a little as we walked onto the court.
"kianna would like to thank her family, friends and, coach peter for helping her become the player is today. tonight kiannas senior gift is presented by junior mckenzie mack." mr. smith said into the mic.
mckenzie came up to me and gave me a picture of the team that everyone signed, a good bag and some balloons.
i thanked her and hugged her.
"now a special message for the seniors from coach peter." mr. smith said.
"oh my goodness my seniors." she began and already started to choke causing us to laugh.
"you guys are such amazing people and have been through a lot. i thank god everyday for bringing you guys into my life. you may have pushed my buttons but always know how to me laugh and question what kind of a team do i have." she said making the crowd laugh.
"anyways i'm beyond proud of all of you and can't wait to see you take your game to the next level. i hope you do well in college and let's make the best of the rest of this season." she said and started crying.
we walked up to her and hugged her. i took the mic from her and said "coach, we couldn't thank you enough for everything you've done for us throughout the year so we got you this."
brittney braylynn and carsyn came out with flowers, a picture of us and her that we all signed and a volleyball that we customized for her. she started crying even more.
"oh my gosh thank you girls. i love you all" she said pulling us into a group hug. after we went back and stood with our families.
"now kianna there's a special message someone here would like to say to you." i was confused and i looked at my family and they all just smirked.
"kianna rose dela cruz, ever since i met you, i fell in love. you're amazing and i love everything about you. you've changed me for the better. this is for you." daniel said.
he started playing the guitar and walking towards me. as well as the boys behind him. they started singing chocolates and roses. my parents song. i stood there in shock. my family started cheering as they sung. my eyes started to water. the girls gabi and tate and christina made their way to me handing me roses, chocolates and the first picture daniel and i took together. it was the picture from when we first met. when daniel came up behind me and hugged me to tag me at the beach.
i started crying and was smiling like a complete idiot.
after the song daniel gave his guitar to corbyn and took the mic. he walked up to me "kianna rose i love you so much, will you do me the honor and being my
girlfriend?"
