today we were unveiling the banner in our gym and having a pep assembly. so coach being coach made us all match wearing our letterman jackets. everyone was currently piling into the gym excitement filling the air.
"HI EVERYBODY!" brittney yelled into the microphone.
"if you don't know me i'm brittney the president of the pep club. and today we have a fun assembly planned!"
~skip to end of assembly~
"alright now for the main event of today's assembly!" mr. smith said causing the school to cheer.
"i'd like to bring out all the volleyball girls that helped bring this banner to our school onto the court." he said as we all made our way down.
"these girls have put in a crazy amount of work this season and it all paid off. now unveil that banner in 3, 2, 1!" coach peter said.
we all pulled the 2 strings causing the over to fail revealing the new banner. the school cheered and we all hugged each other still finding it hard to believe that we actually won.
soon the assembly ended and since it was an afternoon assembly we finished right as school was supposed to end.
"hey let's go visit them." i told carsyn, britney and braylyn as we walked out of the school.
they agreed and we all went to the cemetery. we walked to their graves and stood there together in each other's arms.
"hey sarah and alyssa, we did it." i smiled as i started tearing up.
"we got the banner on the wall like we said we were going to do this summer." carsyn said.
"it wasn't the same without you guys and this season was tough. going back in the court without you guys wasn't the same. we sure as hell didn't know how to play at first but we managed." brittney said.
"yeah but we clicked and knew we had to win this season for you guys. we miss you so much." braylyn said.
soon we all started crying.
"i got you guys a small piece of the court." i said as i put down the small pieces of wood i had i. front of their graves.
"we wish you guys were still here. basketball isn't going to be the same without alyssa." carsyn said.
we all started crying and just sat there in silence in each other embrace.
after i made my way home and saw that nobody was home yet. being home alone still scares me because of the incident so i stayed in my car and texted daniel.

before i drove to the studio i texted my siblings that i was going to the studio. once i got there i said hi to macey and made my way up to the studio.
i entered quietly just in case they were recording. i walked in and saw jack was in the booth singing.
"hey babe." i whispered as i made my way to daniel.
