Where Am I

I saw girl, who was crying
I went up to her and asked
What's the matter that you are so much despairing

She did not speak up
Neither did look up
I guess she didn't wanted a shoulder to cry on
But I still stood their standing near her for long

She was kinda suffer in silence type
That is what I was thinking
When I realised that she had stopped crying and it all became quiet

I tried to go closer to her
So that I could see her face
But all I could see was her long hair

Covering her face totally
Making it difficult to see her visage
At that moment she got up so suddenly

Rushed to the lake
To wash her face

At once I saw her red fiery eyes
Filled with sadness and grief
But again her face covered with something....the lies

She was trying to smile
I saw her friends coming
Who were still far a mile

Now they are all standing
With the girl in the middle
And everyone surrounding

I had seen as her friends were approaching her
She had put on a mask
Again covering her agony of earlier

For they were chatting and laughing
All of them
With the girl joining

I couldn't make out
What was happening
Their laughs getting all loud

Still I could hear the sadness
Of her laughter
Can't these people see the darkness

Surrounding her which was slowly
Eating her up from inside
Though from outside she looked cheerful and jolly

Fading, their laughs were fading now
The people around her fading
Disappearing I don't know where and how

And there was again the dullness
Which was surrounding her
Was again settling in, again returned the gloominess

She looked up into my direction
I could see her face completely now
No mask, no hair, no more illusions

I recognized who it was
And realised where am I
