The morning rolled around and the sun shone through the cracks of the curtains. Marinette rolled awake but Alya was still fast asleep next to her so she left her to nap. Mari took a peek at the clock: 8:45. Luckily it was a weekend so there was no school but there was a circus performance that night. Marinette always hated Sundays but her day got better when she walked out of her room to see Adrien sleeping soundly on the sofa. Nino had somehow made it onto the floor during the night so she placed a blanket over him before heading to the kitchen.

She pulled eggs and bacon out of the fridge and he grabbed a ready-made waffle mixture from the cupboard and plugged in the waffle maker. Since her parents died she had used baking as a way to calm down and distract herself, cooking was one of the many things she and Adrien had in common. She scrambled the eggs and cooked the bacon along with making the waffles. She was pouring coffee into cups and adding sugar and milk to certain ones, she knew the way all her friends had their coffee, it was a small talent of hers.

As she was placing food on the table Adrien began to stir, falling off the sofa in the process which woke Nino up as well.

"Good morning boys." Marinette giggled at the boys as they were sat in a pile on the floor, "I made breakfast, black coffee for Adrien and white coffee with two sugars for Nino."

You could see their faces light up as they smelt food and they immediately bolted to the table.

"Thank you, ba- Mari," Adrien called to her as he was stuffing his face with eggs.

Marinette laughed at the reactions of Nino and Adrien as she knocked on her door to wake up Alya. She woke up with a shock, her brown and ginger tinged hair in knots.

"I've got breakfast on the table, Alya, be quick or it'll get cold," Marinette said while grabbing a brush and handing it to Alya.

"I'll be out any minute now, just gonna sort out whatever the hell this is," Alya said while pointing at her hair.

A while later Alya emerged from the room with her hair looking like it was professionally styled and she was in a pretty white playsuit with a long orange cardigan over the top. She had tights with small foxes on and white trainers as well as a silver necklace with a heart charm on the end of it. She had a box covered in wrapping paper and a bow underneath her arm and she strutted over to the table.

"Happy Anniversary Nino," she said as she handed him the box.

The two started dating when they were only fourteen and have been together for four years. Marinette aspired to have a relationship like theirs one day. Nino kissed her on the cheek and then untied the ribbon on the box and opened it to reveal a watch. It was a tech watch meaning he could listen to music through his Bluetooth headphones without having his phone. It was the most perfect gift for him.

"Alya, this is amazing. Thank you so much," he said as he placed the watch on his wrist. He pulled her into a kiss and then ran to grab his gift for her.

He held a small velvet box in his hand. "Alya. I've wanted to give you this for a while but I just didn't know how to. I spent ages looking for the perfect one and I finally found it, just in time for today."

Tears started to well up in Alya's eyes as he saw Nino open the box, "I wanted to give you this promise ring. I wanted to give you this to show I love you so much Alya and I want you to know that one day, I will marry you."

The ring was silver with a gorgeous amber gem. Tears of joy quickly rushed out of Alya's eyes.

"Nino.. I love you more," she said while Nino put the ring on her finger and pulled her into a kiss.

Adrien and Mari clapped from the table while they stared between their friends and each other, they wished to have a relationship like them.

"You guys are so cute!" Mari said to them as she stood up from the table and pulled her crying friend into a swift hug.

Alya laughed, "I look like an absolute wreck now but I'm so happy to have him." Nino wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her close.

"I want a relationship like yours one day," Adrien said while winking at Mari causing her to blush slightly.

"Anyway we have to get going, I have plans for me and Alya," Nino said while picking up his stuff.

"Do you think I could leave my bags here Mari? I'll come to pick them up later," Alya asked and Mari nodded.

"Okay, now get going! Go enjoy your anniversary!" Everyone laughed at Marinette's enthusiasm but soon enough, Nino and Alya were off on their date.
