One Miraculous Circus

Chapter 32

Adrien turned around to face her and took her hands, "You know I want you, it's not a secret I try to hide," he sang to her as he started to dance her around the living room,"I know you want me, so don't keep saying our hands are tied."

Marinette removed her hands from his and started to walk away when Adrien continued singing. "You claim it's not in the cards and fate is pulling you miles away and out of reach from me, but you're here in my heart, so who can stop me if I decide that you're my destiny?" he sang to her referring to the haters, he loves her so their opinion doesn't matter or change anything.

Adrien ran back over to her and held her hands again.

"What if we rewrite the stars? Say you were made to be mine, nothing could keep us apart," he continued to sing as he pulled her back into a dance and she reluctantly joined in, waltzing around her living room, "You'd be the one I was meant to find."

He spun her around and she giggled slightly but Adrien just continued to sing to her.

"It's up to you, and it's up to me, no one can say what we get to be, so why don't we rewrite the stars," he sang as he dipped her, "Maybe the world could be ours, tonight."

Without thought Marinette responded to Adrien's singing.

"You think it's easy, you think I don't want to run to you, but there are mountains and there are doors that we can't walk through," she sang about the obstacles, the haters, the stuff that will stop them from being together, the things that showed he deserved more.

Mari parted from him and stood on the other side of the small room.

"I know you're wondering why because we're able to be just you and me within these walls," she sang while walking around the room, fiddling with her mask, "But when we go outside you're gonna wake up and see that it was hopeless after all."

She sang this referring to how they could be perfect in the circus and in the club but as soon as they date outside of it and at school it'll all go wrong.

She threw her mask at the ground and tears glistened in her eyes.

"No one can rewrite the stars how can you say you'll be mine, everything keeps us apart and I'm not the one you were meant to find," she sang while tears fell down her cheeks and she headed for the door.

Just before she went outside she turned back to face him, "It's not up to you, it's not up to me when everyone tells us what we can be, how can we rewrite the stars? Say that the world can be ours, tonight."

She wished for him to tell her that the haters were lying, that Kagami didn't mean what she said.

As if in sync they both started to sing together. "All I want is to fly with you, all I want is to fall with you, so just give me all of you," they sang with each other as Marinette ran over and melted into Adrien's arms once again, they knew they wanted to be together but was that even possible?

"It feels impossible," she sang into his chest.

"It's not impossible," Adrien sang back to her.

"Is it impossible?" she sang as she looked up and linked eyes with him.

They stared into each others eyes and sang together, "Say that it's possible."

Adrien smiled and pulled her into one last dance. They spun around the room, they were one at heart.

As they danced they sang together, "How do we rewrite the stars? Say you were made to be mine? Nothing can keep us apart, cause you are the one I was meant to find."

They continued to stare into each others eyes and spin around the room. They were the two halves of a necklace and they never wanted to be separated but maybe they had to be.

"It's up to you and it's up to me, no one can say what we get to be, why don't we rewrite the stars? Changing the world to be ours," they sang together for the final time as they came to a stop.

Marinette broke eye contact and looked to the floor, "You know I want you, it's not a secret I try to hide but I can't have you. We're bound to break and my hands are tied."

She pushed him away from her. Tears dripped down her cheeks and hit the floor as she ran towards the door.

She started to open the door to leave but was stopped by Adrien grabbing her wrist.

"Please, stay with me Marinette."
