One Miraculous Circus

Chapter 30

In Luka's hands he held a diary. It was light pink with white spots and was bound with a black clasp. 

"I found a diary, Kagami," Luka said while waving it in the air.

"Well done Luka," Kagami said while grabbing the book from his grasp, "Do you think this is Ladybug's?"

"I don't know, Kagami. You're the one obsessed with this, you go read the diary. I have things to do," Luka shouted back at her as he headed for the door.

"Luka I think you'll want to see this." Kagami turned to Luka while holding the diary open, "Read it."

Luka's eyes skimmed across the word that covered the pages but suddenly stopped and his eyes grew wide, "Marinette is Ladybug."

"I was obsessed with this Luka because my boyfriend left me for that slut. Now that I know her identity and all of her secrets I can expose that whore for who she truly is. She's a boyfriend stealing bitch," Kagami screamed.

"I'll help you expose her, I started cheating on her because I knew she liked someone else and now I can finally get back at her for ruining my fucking life," Luka screamed as well.

Kagami pocketed the diary and snuck out of the changing room with Luka next to her but instead of going to the performance they went to her house to plan how they were going to expose Marinette.

In the ring, the members were performing perfectly, like every night, completely oblivious to what was brewing just a few metres away. 

Adrien and Ladybug were singing on stage like every performance when shouts started to emerge from the audience.

"Who are you?!" a lot of people shouted as she finished the song.

She just ignored the shouting and smiled at the people around her. Mari had been getting messages like this for weeks and they hadn't bothered her until recently. People started to be mean and she started to get threats ever since Kagami. She thought that wouldn't happen again today until a recognisable voice screamed from the side lines. 

"You don't deserve to be Ladybug, I know who you are!" 

It was Kagami. Ladybug's face dropped and she almost started crying.

"Bugaboo, don't worry okay, I'm sure she's lying. Let's just get off stage now yeh," Adrien said while wrapped an arm around Mari and led her off stage.

Ladybug ran to her dressing room and shifted through drawers and cupboards. 

"Mari, seriously, I'm sure she was lying," Adrien said attempting to console her.

"Adrien. I don't think they're lying. My diary is gone," Marinette said as she started to hyperventilate. 

Noise seemed to drown out and she felt extremely dizzy. She couldn't see properly and slowly tears started to pour out of her eyes. 

"Mari?! Okay, Mari, it's going to be okay. I'm here for you," Adrien said trying to hide the panic in his voice.

He held Marinette close until the panic attack started to fade.

"Adrien. She's going to tell everyone and they're all going to say that I'm not worthy Ladybug and I guess that's true,"  Mari cried into his arms.

"Marinette, you deserve the world and more and you are very worthy of being Ladybug,"  Adrien said to her.

Marinette would've responded but instead she just cried and she couldn't stop.

When the next day arrived, Marinette rolled out of bed and dragged herself to school even though she wanted to just stay home. She didn't want to see Kagami, she didn't want to see anyone.

"Hey Mari," Alya said, "Adrien told me what happened yesterday, he's behind the school waiting for you." 

"Thanks Alya, I'll see you in class," Marinette muttered while she made her way to Adrien. 

"Hey bugaboo," Adrien called to her, "Are you okay, Mari?"

"I'm not doing great, kitty," she sighed while going and hugging him.

They sat and talked for a while until Adrien went to go grab something from his locker. Marinette was sat on her own at the back of the school with her head in here hands when she heard foot steps again.

"Hey kitty," Marinette said while looking up.

Kagami was stood where she thought Adrien would be, "Hello Marinette."

Mari gulped hard and stood up from the floor, "What do you want Kagami?"

"I know you're secret, Marinette," Kagami yelled at her while she waved Marinette's diary around. 

"Kagami, give that back," Marinette shouted at her as she lunged for the book in her hands.

Kagami threw it at the ground, "Take it, I don't need it anymore, I've already read the whole thing anyway, Ladybug."

Marinette opened her mouth to say something but nothing came out.

"Mark my words you boyfriend stealer, you will get what's coming to you," Kagami spat at Marinette as she walked back into school.

Marinette couldn't help it anymore and ran back home. She couldn't be around Kagami or anyone anymore, she just needed to sit alone. She spent the day huddled up in blankets, unable to move. The day passed by quickly as she slept and the others were at school. The next performance was drawing near but Mari still didn't have the motivation to get herself out of bed.

"MARI!" Alya screamed from the front room, "Me, Nino and Adrien are dragging your ass to that stupid performance and you can't stop us!"

They pulled Marinette out of bed and dragged her to the performance no matter how much she wanted to avoid it. 

Marinette ripped herself away from their grip once they were inside the dressing room and turned to face them. "Guys, I can't do this. Kagami is going to tell everyone my identity and they're all going to judge me. I just can't do this." Tears started to pour our her eyes but when she opened the door to leave Kagami was in her way again.
