We were both smiling. I thought to myself,

'I am glad we are finally getting the chance to relax and act we used to. It's been too long...'

It was silent for a moment, and I jumped when he spoke again. "I'm glad too," For a moment, I was confused, but then I realized I had thought out loud again. He continued, "Having to be all formal with you sucks. You're my friend." At the word friend, the happiness in my chest dropped slightly, which made me frown.

Why did that bother me?

Anakin was taken aback a bit. "Did I say something wrong?" I looked up quickly and saw hurt written on his face. "No, no, not at all, I was just thinking about something." I smiled at him and earned one back.

Sighing, I allowed my gaze to rest on him. His face shone a golden-tan color in the firelight, molten gold dancing across his skin, and his eyes twinkled at me from beneath long eyelashes. I stared for a bit too long, and he shifted uncomfortably. I sneezed again, which broke the silence.

He stood up and retrieved the bucket to snuff out the fire, but when I pointed out that we would need it for warmth, he set it back down again. I yawned, scratching my head and arranging our things neatly as he curled up on one side of the pelt, removing his tunic. Trying not to stare at him again, I walked over, discarding all of my tunic layers but my undershirt.

The pelt was not terribly big, so when I laid down, our backs pressed together. The contact sent a tiny jolt of electricity up my spine, and I quickly scooted farther away. I bunched my cloak up and put it under my head, and closed my eyes, falling asleep quickly.

It didn't last. I woke up soon after, and the embers from our fire glowed out through the dark like the fiery eyes of a Sith. I soon realized I was freezing. I sneezed, and sneezed again. The pelt barely covered any of me, and I began to chatter. Since snow and ice covered the underground caves, the temperature had dropped significantly with the loss of our fire.

I sneezed a third time, rather loudly, and Anakin stirred beside me. I sneezed a fourth and fifth time, and he spoke up, his voice husky from his sleep. "You're cold, master." I flipped over to face him. "Really? I didn't n-notice." he smirked at me, swatting my head before opening his arm. "C'mere."

I looked at him, eyebrows raised. "That's not appropriate, Anaki-" He cut me off. "Shush. You don't need a cold right now, and you took care of me all the time when I was younger. It's my turn. Now c'mere." His stern tone took me by surprise, so I sighed loudly before turning back around and scooting closer to him.

He wrapped his arm around me, and I soon warmed up quickly. "Force, Anakin. I forgot you're like a human furnace." He chuckled before shushing me, and I fell asleep again.

This time, it did last.
