Ricky's POV

I've thought a lot about what Nini said about the adopting thing a bit over two weeks ago. I only really want to do it if she will bring the baby up with me. A baby can't live without a mother in my opinion.

Today we went to her five months scan. We got really close to the doctor and she is really nice. She said Nini can stay in school until she is six months and can continue doing rehearsals after that.

"So Ricky. Have you thought anymore about keeping the baby?" Nini asked me on the drive home while rubbing her stomach.

"I have" I answered "I don't really want to keep them if they don't have a mother"

"But... Who?" She asked.

"It's birth mother of course" I told her.

"Ricky. I get it you want to keep the baby but I don't. We are too young and I have big dreams that I am not going to let you ruin" she shouted at me.

"What do you mean me ruin it? This is both of our mistakes" I argued.

"Point is, I have big dreams and a child would take them away from me" she added.

"Nini, you can still have big dreams while having a child, you know?" I informed her.

"Sometimes, Ricky. Sometimes it doesn't work like that" she told me.

"Nini... If they aren't going to have their mother and father then it's better to have a mother and father that isn't theirs" I said, sadly.

"What?" She asked.

"Tell what's her name that she can have the baby" I told her, fighting back the tears. Don't judge, I just said that strangers could look after my baby.

"Ricky, are you sure? You really wanted this baby a while ago" she reminded me.

"I wanted the baby with but..." Then I remembered what Miss Jenn said 'Its the only thing I regret doing in life' hopefully something will work out.

"Ricky?" Nini asked, waving her hand Infront of my face "You just stopped talking there for a moment"

"Tell them I will keep it" I told her, stopping the car at her house and looking at my feet "But, I want to raise the baby with you. See, Nini, I love you"

I looked up to see no Nini. She has left. Before I said that I loved her. That's the third time. When will I be able to tell her? Uhhh, I better get home before my dad wonders where I am.

"Hey Dad!" I said as I walked into the house.

"Hey Ricky" he smiled at me.

"I told Nini that I'm keeping the baby and she... I think she agreed" I grinned at my dad while sitting beside him on the sofa.

"So you and Nini are keeping them?" He asked.

"No. Just me" I explained.

"If it's just you then I do not approve. Either, Nini and you look after the baby together or someone adopts it" he said.

"But Dad I..." I started.

"No Ricky" he interrupted me "Choose"

"But Nini doesn't want the baby and I do. It won't just be Nini and I that regret it. I bet you will too" I protested.

"Well it seems like someone is adopting your baby" he finished before walking upstairs.

I felt like I needed to punch a wall. I went into my room and texted Nini about what my dad said.

Tell your dad, what did he say?

He doesn't want me to have the baby on my own. Either we bring it up together or it gets adopted. I get that you don't want to have a baby yet but Nini, please? We will regret it.

I'm sorry Ricky. I'll tell the parents that they can keep them.
