(y/n)'s point of view
I decided to turn a new page in my life, and I figured that the best way to do that would be to go somewhere I've never been before... Or at least some place that I've barely been. Thus I ended up on Banaro Island.
A certain pirate crew had invaded it. I knew that I had to do something to help, but I also knew that I should probably be careful since I had no idea what those pirates were truly capable of nor did I know what secrets that world had.
Right as I was about to make my move someone else had just approached the invaders. It was a young well built man with dark hair and a cowboy hat.
Instead of approaching the pirate crew as I had planned I decided on keeping my cover just a little bit longer. I listened to their conversation to learn a little more about the situation and the newcomer.
I learned that the young man was some sort of commander, that his name was Ace and that the captain of the invading crew was named Teach. I also learned that the new captain had been under Ace's division and killed his own comrade, which angered even someone like me, who had nothing to do with any of those people. Not to mention I definitely understood why the commander was so enraged by the disgusting man.
The two ended up fighting each other. It was quite obvious that Ace was the loosing party, but I held myself back from intervening at first to use the opportunity that Ace gave me to see what Teach was capable of.
The moment I finally decided to step in was when Ace was already pretty beaten up and they were both going for their final attacks. I jumped between them to block both of them with my hands. I mostly did that to save the young commander from the blow that would've obviously knocked him out.
When the two men realized what had happened they were beyond shocked. Besides being shocked Ace also fell to the ground since he had used up all the strength he had left. He just layed there looking wide-eyed at the female who turned up out of nowhere.
The despicable pirate on the other hand started laughing like a maniac "What's this? Pretty lady, do you want to join my crew... Or are you stupid enough to throw your life away for this fool?"
I answered coldly. "Neither actually..."
He looked a little confused by my answer, but he still managed to find the situation amusing somehow. "Oh? Then what do you want?"
I sighed. "People like you disgust me... So, if I want to leave here with a clean conscious, I'm going to have to take you down."
Teach started laughing hysterically. "You... You think a little lady like yourself can take me down? Not even fire fist Ace had a chance against me!!"
"Well I'm not fire fist Ace." I said while my right fist burst out in flames, quite similarly to the man who fought a few seconds before me, and lunged at the blackbearded man.
At first he seemed shocked, but pulled me in with his dark dark fruit powers and took a hold of my left arm. My flames went out just like he had done with Ace before and continued laughing. "Two idiots who can't seem to understand that darkness is above all."
I wasn't entirely sure at first if he could put my flames out as well or not, but I was actually counting on him putting them out. All I was trying to achieve with that attack was to get closer to him while making him feel like he has me right where he wants me and powerless.
In truth that wasn't the case at all. After all everything was going just as I had planned.
In the midst of his laughter I smirked. "Oh I wouldn't be so sure about it if I were you." And my right fist burst out in an even bigger flame that was also infused with light. "White fire dragon iron fist!!"
This time the pirate wasn't able to block or get rid of my attack.
Whilst Teach was screaming in pain on the floor I sarcastically asked him a question instead. "Do you truly think that darkness is above all? If that's true then you are even dumber than I thought."
I ended up beating the pirate captain up pretty badly, but I didn't kill him. I've learned to believe that everyone deserves a second chance. Even scum like him. I then turned to the guy who had fought before me and I realized that he had passed out at some point during my fight.
I decided to take care of the young males wounds, while also helping rebuild the town that had been annihilated during the whole ordeal.
I worked tirelessly all night with the help of the townspeople and we somehow managed to fix most of the damage done by the following day, which is also about the time Ace finally woke up.
I had managed to heal hia wounds about halfway and take his pain away, but he was still barely able to move.
At first he immediately asked about Teach and I told him everything. He wasn't happy about him getting away with his life, but the fact that I had beaten him up pretty badly seemed to satisfy him at least a little.
After all the explanations were out of the way he started going back to his little boat to go back to his crew, but I tried to stop him. "You're in no condition to travel right now. You should rest for a few days before you go anywhere."
He smiled. "Nah, can't do that."
I kept on trying to convince the stubborn young man. "If you go out to sea alone in this condition you might die."
Ace kept on smiling with a sad look in his eyes. "Oh yeah? Maybe that would be for the better."
After a few moments of silence I sighed and started walking in the direction he was going before I stopped him.
The young commander just stared at me in confusion.
I stopped after a few steps noticing that Ace wasn't moving. "Are you coming or not?"
He was stunned by what I said. "What?"
I smiled. "If you insist on leaving right away then I have no other choice, but to go with you and make sure that you arrive wherever you are going safely."
Ace tried to protest. "No way! I can't let you do that!"
"I'm sorry, but I don't think you're in any condition to stop me."
He was about to try to convince me to stay once more, but I stopped him by reassuring him that it wasn't much trouble for me at all. "Look Ace... I was planning on leaving this island soon anyway and honestly I have no idea where to go next. So in a way you'd be helping me out as well."
He silently agreed to my proposition and we went to sea on his little boat.
