The Dragoness(Ace x Reader)

Dressrosa

We were already on our way to Dressrosa, when Cana came up with a random idea. "Hey Ace! Have you ever had your fortune told before?"

Ace wasn't very amused by the thought. "No, why?"

She then sat down in front of Ace and took out her cards. "Then why don't I be the first."

Ace sighed not at all interested in his crew mate's antics. "Fine..."

"Interesting... So you have another brother besides Luffy as well?"

This time the young freckled pirate was taken aback by the unexpected question. "Wh... What?"

Cana smiled. "Well... According to my cards, today will be the reunion of three brothers."

Ace took off without another word because of which Cana turned to me. "What's with him?"

I hesitated for a moment. "... From what he told me, he... Did have another brother, but he was... Killed a long time ago..."

Cana regretted what she had said to Ace now. "I... I didn't know. I'm sorry!"

I smiled reassuringly and put my hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry about it Cana. He'll be fine. He's a strong man after all! And who knows, maybe somehow it might still be possible. I mean, your cards haven't been wrong before, have they?"

Cana brightened up a little. "Yeah... I guess you're right. Thanks (y/n)!"

"I'm happy to help! But I do think that I should probably go check how Ace is doing as well." Cana nodded in response.

I then went into our shared room to find Ace laying face down on our bed. I walked up to the bed and sat down on the edge, without saying a single word. He probably didn't even notice my presence, but I had a way of making myself noticed when I wanted. I started carefully massaging his back.

After a little while of doing that, Ace groaned. "(y/n)..?"

Without stopping what I was doing I finally made a sound since entering the room. "Hmmm?"

Next Ace did something that I wasn't expecting. He quickly turned around pulling me into his warm embrace and layed a loving kiss on my forehead. "What did I ever do to deserve someone as amazing as you?"

I rubbed my cheek against his chest, enjoying ever minute of closeness. "You didn't have to do anything, Ace."

Ace chuckled, while holding me tightly and playing with my hair. "(y/n)?"

I looked up at him, seeing his beautiful longing eyes staring right back at mine. "I love you!"

My eyes went wide. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. He had never said that before! "Wh... What..?"

Ace caressed my cheek, his eyes not leaving mine for a second. "You have always been there for me, and not just by being by my side, but also... When I couldn't protect my brother... You were there to do it for me and... You have no idea what that means to me and honestly I don't want that to change. I want you by my side forever. I love you, (y/n)!"

Even though I was still trying to process what he was saying, I was so overjoyed and I kissed him. "I love you too, Ace!"

Just as we were about to kiss once more, someone from the deck shouted. "Hey (y/n)! Something... Is not right!!"

We were both annoyed by the interruption, but we got up anyway and we went to the deck to see what was up. That's when we sawthat we were already nearing the island, but something was wrong. It was almost like a cage covering the whole thing. "What the..?"

Ace sighed. "It has to be Doflamingo's doing. Luffy... Please stay safe!"

Once we officially got to the island we tried to break through the cage, but we couldn't. Ace and Juvia could get through though, but only thanks their abilities to for Ace to turn into fire and Juvia water.

Erza started speaking to the two from the outside. "Since you two are the only ones, who could get through, you'll have to find Luffy on yo-" I quickly cut her off. "Your right, Erza. We will do just that."

Ace was confused by what I said. "Whoa, (y/n)! How are you supposed get through in one piece?"

I smirked. "You know... I have been training from time to time, not just sitting around hoping that you guys would take care of things for me, when needed." Then I closed my eyes and concentrated on becoming one with my shadow, until I finally started moving downwards, until I was fully in my shadow. Then I moved into the cage and everything was back to normal.

Ace was amazed. "You just keep getting more amazing, you know that, right sweetheart?"

Natsu was too. "Wow! You can do that weird shadow thing like Rogue now?! That's awesome!"

That's when a bunch of people ran past us screaming for help, including the man who was doing the attacking. He was begging for someone to stop him, and that's exactly what we did. We restrained him, while the others were already gone. "What's going on?" I asked worried.

"I... It's D... Doflamingo's d... Doing. Somehow h... He's controlling s... Some people like m... Me."

Ace was enraged by what we found out. "Damn it! Doflamingo is going to pay for this!"

Juvia was concerned. "We need to do something to help all those people."

I sighed. "You're both right... Doflamingo needs to pay, but if we go after him right away... At what cost would we be doing that?"

Ace agreed with me. "You're right (y/n). We don't know where Luffy is either..."

"But we can change that."

Juvia wasn't sure what I meant by it. "But how? What's your plan?"

I started explaining everything to the two crew mates, who were able to enter the cage with me. "What we need is more people, since most of us are locked out. Then we could have people going around helping the citizens and one or a few of us could go after the mastermind of this madness."

Ace stated the obvious. "Right, but how are these people you're talking about supposed to be able to get here?"

I smirked. "I think it's time I asked by big brother for help."

Ace didn't understand at all. "And how are you going to do that?"

This time I ignored his question and I started talking somewhat telepathically to Jellal while holding my hand in front of me almost like placing it on a mirror. "I know this is sudden, but... I need your help." Right as I finished talking a glow eminated from my hand and a hazy figure appeared in front of me. I grabbed his hand and started pulling him towards me. Of course he had known that I was planning on doing that, so all of his guild mates were holding onto him, which is why they were also pulled into this world alongside Jellal.

After the greetings had been dealt with, I started explaining what the situation was and then what the plan was. "Jellal, Sawyer, Macbeth, Erik, Richard and Meredy, can I count on you six to go around helping the townspeople? Juvia, Ace and I, we would then go after Doflamingo himself."

Juvia wasn't happy with the arrangement. "Actually... Can I go with Meredy and the others? After all, I'm sure you two can handle one guy by yourselves." Meredy backed her up. "Yeah, we'd love to have her come with us."

I nodded agreeing to their suggestion. "You're probably right. Richard, can you find a guy with a straw hat?" Ace added not understanding how this guy could find his brother, but trusting me none the less. "He's also probably fighting someone, if not Doflamingo himself."

Richard agreed without hesitation. He used heaven's eye to locate Ace's little brother. "I think I found him. He's on top of that castle. There's also some strange guy, who's jumping around a lot, a guy who seems very disgusting, a guy who has a hearr tattoo on his chest."

Ace knew who that must've been. "That one must be Trafalgar Law."

"Then there's also a guy fighting with... Strings?"

Both me and Ace we spoke at the same time. "Doflamingo!" And we started running towards where we were just told to go.
